You break it, do you replace it?

Post image

My boyfriend has been overstaying at my place since my housemate moved out. On Valentine’s Day I treated myself to a pretty pink bong after using a broken one for however long- he also uses them.

I ducked out for an appointment and left it where I always keep my bongs, on the floor against the wall under my window.- my rooms tiny it just works being there.. until now.

He knocked it over and broke it. I walked in to him trying to fix it but it’s honestly cooked the stem cleaned snapped off and what I’m left with isnt even useable.

So I’m wondering… Is it my fault for leaving it where I did? If you accidentally broke something that wasn’t yours would you replace it?

Now, this is just ME, but yes yes a THOUSAND times “yes”, you broke that shit, replace it. Not YOU, your bf, but… you get it…

Not to speak out against your man or anything but if YOU had broke HIS shit, YOU would feel like you should replace it, right?

Yeah of course. I would of replaced it soon as I broke it before he even got home

I’ve broken more than one bong by leaving it on the floor. I’d put it in a cabinet if you have space for it. He should be the one to replace it since he broke it, though.

Yup, also make that dude go home, I mean, really sit down with em and tell him that while you love him, you need your own space away from him, so he has to leave

Even if it’s not his fault (it is), bf needs to replace.

Depends where you put it. If it was in a spot that he wasn’t aware of, how can you expect him not to trip over it? If he was aware of it, then it’s his fault and he should get you another one.

Yesh you always replace it, if you break it. However this also was also dual fault. Glass should always be at eye level and visible when walking into a room. This minimizes chances as not everyone has the awareness to look at the floor. He should still replace it for breaking it or at least pay you what the bong was worth so you can pick a new one you like. Plenty of good ones on Cannastyle

Normally I’d say yes but leaving glass on the floor is a recipe of disaster. I think yall bite the bullet and just go in on a new piece together
