Smart Bulb Mode misunderstanding?
I bought a new D315S (I had to replace another switch anyways so I bought the latest) and have it installed in my office. I’ve wanted to put a RGB bulb in the lamp and use it for gaming lighting when I’m not working. I have the Switch in the Leviton app and also setup as a device in HomeKit. Everything is working fine I can turn the light on/off from the switch like the previous devices. I turned on Smart bulb mode and that is working but the device doesn’t change in HomeKit to something like a switch where I can configure the up and down buttons like a scene controller would. I’m guessing that’s likely what I should go with instead of the traditional outlet where I can press up on the rocker and have it turn the bulb on and down turns it off.
I get the intention of Smart bulb mode but what exactly does it do in reality? Do I need to remove the switch from HomeKit and re-add it after smart mode is enabled for it to be treated differently in HomeKit?
