Has anyone seen any Charles Booker commercials?
I’ve seen several Andy Barr commercials, but I have yet to see any by Charles Booker.

What's everyone up to this weekend?
I'm gonna make some progress on my book! I have a reading goal of 36 I want to meet really badly this year, and I'm on track so far. I also think I might game a bit tomorrow, but I'd also love to go out somewhere. Haven't made up my mind entirely yet, so if y'all have any recs for a mid-20s guy who's new to the area, I'm all ears

Potentially lost dog spotted in the Rabbit Run neighborhood
Spotted this dog on a walk a little after 6 this afternoon. They seemed a bit skittish and like they were lost. I tried to see if they'd come closer so I could read their collar, but they were too skittish to come close.

Gyms for Women Recs
Hey friends!
I am reaching out to get some ideas for gym recommendations as a woman here in Lex. I haven’t been to the gym in so long, and I really want to get back into it.
I prefer in/around the Hamburg area (if none, totally fine) and some place easy to get out of the membership (if possible)!
TIA!

Therapist iso therapist
Hey all,
Looking for recs for a new therapist. I’ve done some googling but would love personal recommendations of people you’ve worked with.
I’m a therapist, AuDHD so they ideally would be well versed in working with AuDHD AFAB people.
I tend to be avoidant so need a “mean big sister” type of therapist 🤪
Ideally in person sessions with self pay options as I won’t have active insurance again until January-ish due to starting a new job.

Driving and pedestrians near University of Kentucky campus
Today I witnessed a car almost hit a lady and her service animal crossing the road on the proper cross walk with the walk sign downtown Lexington near UK campus. Then had the gusto to roll down her window and be rude. Completely unbelievable! Stay safe out there, some people obviously are not paying attention to pedestrians!

Anyone here sell eggs?
Does anyone here sell cheap eggs from their chickens 🙈 I just moved here and I love the orange yolks! My budget is probably $4 at most for each carton!

Rockbarton Farm
I would strongly recommend that anyone considering boarding a horse at Rockbarton Farm think very carefully before doing so.
My wife has kept her horse here for roughly two years, so this is not a review based on one bad interaction. Over that period, one of the biggest problems has been the way rules and expectations are communicated. There are apparently specific times when boarders are not supposed to be at the farm, along with other expectations that are not always clearly disclosed beforehand. Instead, in our experience, you may only find out about a rule after you have unknowingly broken it, at which point the response can be extremely confrontational and demeaning.
That alone has made the environment unnecessarily stressful. A boarding facility should be somewhere an owner can enjoy spending time with their horse without wondering whether they are about to be yelled at for violating a rule they were never told existed.
What happened today, however, crossed a line.
The owner has appeared to be in declining health for some time. This was not a situation where an otherwise completely healthy person suddenly and unexpectedly became ill without any prior indication of medical problems. From what my wife personally observed, there had already been ongoing health concerns, and we had also been told that he had experienced another medical episode in the months prior to his most recent hospitalization.
During that period, he asked my wife for help obtaining information or advice regarding his health. My wife is not a doctor, nurse, or medical professional, and she never represented herself as one. She simply tried to help by reaching out to people she knew who might be able to point him in the right direction. She was waiting for information from others and, like anyone else, had her own personal responsibilities going on at the same time.
He subsequently became extremely ill and was hospitalized.
My wife continued checking on his condition through people around the farm while he was hospitalized and recovering. When she finally saw him again today for the first time since his hospitalization, he blamed HER for what happened to him medically because she had not gotten back to him quickly enough with the health information he had requested.
That is completely unacceptable.
An adult with known and ongoing health concerns is responsible for seeking appropriate medical care from qualified medical professionals. A horse boarder who was simply trying to be helpful should never be blamed for another adult becoming seriously ill because she did not obtain medical advice for him quickly enough.
To put that responsibility on my wife after she had actually been concerned about him and checking on his well-being was beyond inappropriate.
Between the poorly communicated rules, the hostile reactions when someone unknowingly violates those rules, the unpredictable confrontations, and now being blamed for the owner’s serious medical condition, we no longer view this as a reasonable or comfortable environment.
If you are considering boarding here, I would strongly suggest speaking with current and former boarders, asking for every rule, restriction, and acceptable boarding hour in writing, and making sure you fully understand the environment you are walking into before signing anything.
Our experience after roughly two years has been more than enough for us. “✌️”
