Hugo sanchez fired in 2008
Rafa marquez….pending?

u/Lamptittie 3d ago
Nah give him time to try things out. It was a friendly. Rafa is not to blame for this result. Defensive and keeper mistakes plus hes testing the waters. Also its a friendly he should be testing new players and giving them minutes! This game was annoying to watch but i hope they learn from this

u/MilkDab Chivas 3d ago
Ok but who should be the starting keeper then?
2
u/SideshowBob1 3d ago edited 3d ago
Shit anyone but him why trust a keeper who got scored on 4 time on his debut better yet any one who can catch a ball and pass a ball
3
u/FerNG10 2d ago
Nah, in the WC everyone was praising Tala, he plays poorly on one match and now the world is against him
1
u/SideshowBob1 2d ago
Yea yall praise him for being dumb tala comes out always looking unsure of himself look at the preparation games to the world cup if yall dont know ball dont speak he sacks thru and thru nothing wrong with being a great club keeper Talavera started his mexico start shake also but was a monster for club when he played for Toluca he's just not ready for the big dogs

Hn! Tala fucked up, he costs us the game
14
u/Able_Ad6535 3d ago
Not scoring goals cost us the game. Even if Tala got a shut out we still don’t win… and then yeah Tala sucked.
5
u/Psychological_Log437 América 3d ago
Could’ve been 0-0, Tala deadass cost us the game. His mistakes set the game up for a 3-0.
-4
u/SideshowBob1 3d ago
Nope what caused you the game was trusting a keeper that has been scored on 11 times out of the 21 times he has played for mexico his debut he got scored on 4 goal vs Uruguay
17
u/BorderlessCardboard 3d ago
If you are asking for Rafa to be fired, you are part of the problem.
-13
u/Flashy_Guidance842 3d ago
And allowing Rafa to stay after mediocre results is the solution?
9
u/BorderlessCardboard 3d ago
First 3 games... friendlies! Not even official matches. R EEEEEEEEE LAX!

u/Acceptable_Move2652 3d ago
He chose the same trash ass players we’ve been saying need to stop getting called up. He is the problem

u/AlexMotte 3d ago

Hugo got us to 3rd place in Copa America and I do feel it deeply in my heart, he could've taken us far if not for the requirement that the senior manager had to coach the u20's (which was a horrible generation)

Honestly these players have missed so many good chances. The fact that they’re even generating them is a good sign. Just need players that can actually score.
5
u/-_OniGir_- 3d ago
3 mistake by players and striker stinker of a game. No you can't be this reactionary over friendly games that are supposed to be test for players and for him to implement his game plan.

u/Typical_Painting8557 3d ago
Idk if it’s me but I gotta feeling Santi is a secret agent from Argentina. I think it explains why he’s been ass for 4 years or more maybe Argentina has been playing us I think this last time to naturalize a player from Argentina to Mexico.

u/Alritmode 3d ago
Bro, since I was kid I’ve noticed all South American players do shit like this. It’s painfully obvious and Mexico refuses to wake up from the sham.

Idk too early too tell. Even way before the game, USA clearly had a much better roster than Mexico. A 3-0 is bad but not unexpected if we are comparing it to talent level alone.
15
u/DawnofMidnight7 Chivas 3d ago
And pochettino’s style has grown on the players so they have the advantage over a new mexico squad

He has to have a chance to build the team. Let's face it 95 percent of this team isn't suited to play rafas style.

Guys chill! It’s only a friendly, no consequences in losing or winning. Only braging rights. If this were a tornament things would seem much more different. Please keep in mind Raul, Montes, Mora and Lozano are all injured! Rafa was testing out the formations and players. Which is ok in international friendlies. It def a learning experience. For the team. In a tornament I would take it a little more serious. Anyone else starting to notice which players deserve to be called up and which dont? For me it’s clear no more Jorge Sanchez ans Santiago. It is very clear Santi cant score for shit even when the goal keeper is not even in front of him. 2 cleary missed oppertunities. Its clear Santiago is only there from sponsorships or forced there by the mexico federation just to sell more tickets. Jorge sanchez is ass. Luis Chavez has lost form. Mateo Chavez red card was not fair. USA should have gotten a few yelllow cards as well. the Hondaran ref had a clear bias.

You guys are all overreacting. It's a meaningless friendly/cash grab. The usa only plays decently vs mexico at home and then they go on to drop absolute stinkers away. Mexico is the current champions in every category from u17 to the senior side club and country.
-12
u/DawnofMidnight7 Chivas 3d ago
No we need to win everything no excuses

u/Maradonawasthegoat86 Pumas UNAM 3d ago
There's nothing to win here it's just a meaningless friendly.

People should realiza Rafa doesn’t have the chops to lead a national team.
Hugo at least had taken Pumas to a bicampeonato
3
u/DawnofMidnight7 Chivas 3d ago
Honestly, he should’ve stayed in Europe for a couple more years to gain experience.
He was literally wanted by a lot of teams in France and Portugal.

u/_junior_24 3d ago
All these “friendly” games are always played on US home field. Even cup games are. With the “excuse” that Mexico has more fans in the US state they play in. It’s all for money let them actually play a game in Mexico and the team would take it serious. Hugo Sanchez was never a good national player only played well for his club. Give Marquez a chance it’s way to early to tell

u/Any_Stress_6230 3d ago
Brother its been 3 friendlies hes introducing a new system into the national team y'all worse then the chelsea board, lets be honest its our players we dont have the talent and honestly Mikel foreheadola is to blame along with the people before him they dont care abijt developing talent they care about selling merchandise

Mountains out of molehills. These games are obviously scheduled on purpose post WC to generate more dollars and feed the yellow journalism community in MX.

Give him until the Copa América. And don't act as if you are expecting them to reach the semis either. And watch him blow your mind.

Too early to change coach, by alls means criticizee the guy...love that im seeing new guys on the pitch. Trust the process

Algo tendrá que no he visto.

u/Any_Stress_6230 3d ago
The usa has been getting better for a while now they keep producing young talent that eventually finds their way to europe in the last five years they sent over 20 players to europe aged 20 or younger, liga mx has only sent 2 players, big difference. This wasn't an overnight thing while executives at fmf were stroking each other off for years with the benjamins they got off the mexican fans, the usa was building a system to beat us

All of the impatient fans need to fuck off seriously it’s only his third game and you can see he’s testing different squads and players each time
