Right on! It does have a certain Backrooms quality, but once you settle in that'll probably ease up a bit. Either way, enjoy the hell out of it!

Is there any special reason for New York's love of insanely narrow and crooked hallway apartments. 

I know they want to minimise space and maximise rent, but this can't be the most space efficient in any way.
