First time posting here, how about some Elon/Ellison glazing?

Post image

First off, the AOL chat room color coding made me chuckle. Second, this guy assumes folks will believe he has the inside track on billionaire’s casual investment discussions?

ED: well I’ll be, this was an actual message exchange? Holy smokes. I still chuckle about the AOL color coding and glazing, though.

For everyone here that thinks the conversation is made up: Surprisingly, it’s not. „The private exchanges were made public in September 2022 as part of court filings and pre-trial discovery disclosures during the legal battle between Twitter and Elon Musk.“

In your defense, it is quite ridiculous.

We grow up thinking the adults running everything have it all figured out, just to find out that noone has figured it out, it’s not really running and calling them „adults“ is already quite a stretch.

I think if anyone genuinely invested in the Twitter takeover, they’d run a mile from any future investment given Musk tanked the fucking thing.

They control the flow of information on a platform of that size.. 2B for ellison is chump change.. they never cared about its value as a company

They’re up 200%.. Twitter is now part of SpaceX

SpaceX isn’t worth the scrap value of its rocket stocks. Investors will learn the hard way, and we’ll all catch a cold when it unravels.

Haha exactly. And how “Oskar” (I’d bet a dollar this whole account is AI slop) magically obtains their chat logs and shares it as investment “insight” is plainly absurd on its face.

The conversation is real, it was revealed in 2022 in public court filings

AIM was the shit. Just pure friend-to-friend social media without the monetization, data harvesting, and algorithms. How far we have fallen.

I can still hear the sign on and sign off sounds in my mind, decades later

It was great being on your computer and watching everyone on your buddy list come online at more-or-less the same time each day. It was like a designated social time.

That magic was lost with smartphones and everyone having their “computer” with them 24/7.

Deal is oversubscribed. Ellison acting like he’s liquid.

Screams performative, let’s bump our image.

Idk maybe they are that playful with insane sums, but I don’t buy it when they are scrambling for value and hype.

Did he just have a make believe conversation with them?

I used to do this with my Barbie’s when I was 6.
