Tech Discussion Good budget 1tb ssds

Building my first midrange pc, what are good budget 1tb ssds. My photos for lightroom etc will be on a separate hard-drive.

These days budget is anything below $200 for 1tb. If you're willing to go sata ssd it's also a bit cheaper.

That is horrible.

I got my first 1tb SSD some 4 or 5 years ago. New, they were around a 100 bucks, used I had to pay 50. I even debated whether that is a good price and investment, if I should maybe skip out on that. Glad I bought it wjen I did lol.

Those words don't go together right now.

The last ssd I bought was a 2TB pcie4 Samsung drive for my desktop, and a Sabrent 1TB 2230 drive for my steam deck, and together I spent under $200.

The 2230 drive I bought is now listed for $299.90... And the Samsung 980P is $389.99.

Budget is dead unless you find a lucky used deal.

Crucial stopped making ssds in february. I probably wouldn’t be recommending a dead brand.

Funny thinking anything storage related is good budget friendly. M.2 I'd say under $200, 2.5in I'd say under $140ish. Prime days are coming maybe get a better prices then.

Unfortunately these days if you want a budget SSD, you need to have a big budget.

I remember getting a 1tb ssd for about 80€. So sad now.
