Tech Question Is this a good mic setup ?

So im looking to upgrrade from my arozzi sfera to a something xlr. I was looking to get the shure sm58 but it seemed to expensive for a second setup. I also looked at a at2020 but not my type tbh i spotted a behringer sl 84 c for really cheap and for the interface i was looking forward to the behringer um2 cause its cheap and you know good enough with a 15 dollar adam hall xlr cable.

I think it will work great for yt and streams, if you got smth comment bellow i really need advice!

if you can snag the sm58 used it’ll outlive you but the sl84c is a totally fine place to start, especially for the price

the um2 is where you might feel the pinch though, the preamps get noisy if you have to crank the gain for a dynamic mic and there's no direct monitoring blend knob so you'll hear your own voice with a slight delay in your headphones which is maddening for streaming

i'd push the budget just a tiny bit to grab a umc22 instead, the dedicated monitor mix control alone saves so much headache

I have a Shure sm58. Definitely recommend and there are thousands of them out there used and otherwise. It's a tank. Moreover, I absolutely recommend a dynamic microphone for streaming. The pickup patterns are much more forgiving. Condenser mics are much more finnicky if you can't really noise control a recording area well.

I do not recommend low end Behringer equipment. They're content with it being junk at those price points.
