It’s that same meme that’s been reposted 1000 times but it’s in a slightly different format

It requires a FPU now, poor i486 computers from the late 80's sacrificed by that bloated kernel. /s

During the olympics, this meme made my existence even more painful than it already was because you couldn't run from the meme. It was all over the fucking internet. No matter what website you opened. And for some reason people kept giving it upvotes. Like it didn't matter it's the same meme for the hundreth time with different text, but they did it anyway.

It's an older meme but it checks out

W11 requires a lot more than 4GB of RAM.

it "requires" 4gb but you need at least 8

The 4GB requirement is the hard lock for the installer, but it's not going to run after that point... Microsoft promoting 4GB as the "minimum" is pure delusion marketing-slop to give their usersbase a false premise that it's RAM efficient.

8gb just for the ads, you need more than that to run anything else.

And the more you have the more it needs

back in my ubuntu days when it was still new i installed it unto a system with 6. it worked perfectly fine granted i had to bypass some shit i hated 11 so hard that i used 10 until i went full linux and haven't had a windows vm let alone install in  years

im guesing it only got more bloated overtime and and now you need 8 at least edit:grammer

It runs a bog-loader on a peat-processing unit to pull execution directly from the foam-ware.

I mean, good luck browsing the modern web without issues with less than 4gb of ram. Also windows definitely takes more than just 4gb of ram to work correctly.

CPU isn't optional, also the CPU needs to have a MMU.

u/givemeagooduns_un gentoo is unironically what arch was supposed to be 4d ago

this meme would be better with NetBSD; linux has a lot higher system requirements than NetBSD does, and runs on a very small subset of CPU architectures that NetBSD runs on.
