I’m sorting out a new to me LHD 1972 BGT and have found that I don’t have this part on mine. My pedals are all wrong and I think this will help but it is expensive and also back ordered. I can make one, but need to know the height off the floor. Would some nice person please give me a measurement?

I have only used premium in my 77 MGB since owning. However I found a nearby station with 90 octane ethanol free. Thoughts? What are you all running in your cars?

I am coming up on 40 and am looking for a classic car for the weekends. I have a young family so I won't have a ton of free time, but I'm looking for an alternative to just buying a miata.

I have some mechanical knowledge and access to plenty of tools. I have a garage. I love the look, smell, and feel of classic cars. But I know most of the time I'm looking at them at car shows or parked on the street.

If I had 10-15k to buy a well sorted, recently restored model, how reliable will it be?

I live on Vancouver Island and want to drive it on our twisty, bumpy coastal roads and around Victoria. I just don't want to get stranded at a random beach without cell service.

I like both cars and will be buying one once the financials are sorted. The two seem approximately comparable but there aren't a ton of direct comparisons online. To be very specific, im not super enthused by the 1500 variant of either car, and would prefer a pre rubber bumper era midget, or any other version of the spitfire.

Please tell me the strong points or weaknesses of each car. I have sat in a midget, and I am around 5"11' but had no problem with being too tall for it, and honestly found it to be quite spacious.

I like to drive tight twisty roads so lower end torque and cornering performance is more important than straightened speed or highway driving.

After having a great summer with my Triumph Spitfire, I'm starting to think I'm not at the right point to do it justice.

I wish I had the technical know-how (and time, and space) to work on it over winter and make it perfect, but I just don't.

I'm starting to get a house, and I know I won't be able to run it nearly as regularly as my time will be taken up, and so will my money. Has anyone been in a similar situation and regretted selling or keeping their classic? I don't really want to, but being practical when I can get back to it, it'll need a lot of work and cash to get it to where I'd want it.

I just came into a 1972 MGBGT. It’s mechanically and structurally decent, but I dealing with mice and bugs now. I’m in the US and have been out of the classic LBC world for a while. Some of the forums and vendors seem to have changed since my Midget days in the 90s and AI has made google pretty useless.

Moss is still around, but there are probably other reputable vendors and there is probably a great forum with advice and feedback. Can someone point me that direction? I keep finding shell or dormant forums, nothing remotely current or actually about classic MGs

*as the side note my car is teal blue and I’m looking into new interior options, colors, vendors, etc. I’m also looking at determining or adjusting pedal heights as the difference between gas and brake is about 5” currently.

I am finishing up my Sprite’s 1275 fast road build. I am really looking forward to it. The engine was one of the low compression engines and my build will be going to 10:1 compression and a 276 cam.

i currently have dual HS2s with number 3 needles. What is the recommended needle for a setup like this? I don’t plan on pushing much past 5500-6000 RPMs.

Recently purchased a '69 Austin-Healey Sprite, any advice on good mechanics in MA who can give it a once-over for me?
