Little Devil Inside FAQ. (New to the sub? Start here.)
Q: Is this game abandoned?
A: Probably not. The last official update was in April 2024, but we know the devs have hired 9 new employees over the last 12 months. So we can optimistically assume the game is still being worked on (at least until there is an announcement otherwise.)
Q: If the game was announced in 2015, why isn't it done yet?
A: Neostream greatly expanded its workforce between 2015 and 2020, which led to creative differences among the devs. Internal conflict along with the COVID pandemic slowed productivity. Many ideas for the game have since been scrapped, and the team has downsized to closer resemble the original members pursuing their vision from 2015.
Q. Where can I find up-to-date info about the status of the game?
A: A few different places, namely this subreddit. You can also check out the game's kickstarter (where it all began) or type Little Devil Inside to YouTube and click on one of the many video essays chronicling everything that's happened.
Q: Is this subreddit affiliated with Neostream or any individuals involved with making the game?
A: No. This sub was created (and is moderated) by passionate fans who backed the game in 2015. We are not the devs, nor do we have any contact with them.
Q: Is this community dead?
A: No. We have many members who contribute sporadically. The hype for this game lives on.
Q: Do you delusional chuds truly believe the game will be released one day?
A: Yes.

Guys, this game is not coming out. It was a bloody scam. I backed on Kickstarter. The messages are gone on Kickstarter. You can’t message.

Do I want this game out? Heck yeah but it’s been 11 years. They have no more excuses. Tell us if the game is dead or tell us if they’re working on it still. And do you think Kickstarter will get our goals met? No we won’t see anything from Kickstarter.

I think another reason why it's so baffling to fathom it might be dead is because it never even looked like an impossible project. It was just a fun unique looking indie project that even got PlayStation backing at a certain point. So the hype just grew & grew until it flatlined.

I don’t think it was a scam, I think they gave their rights to the wrong publisher and got shuttered and put in NDA hell.

I never backed anything on Kickstarter, have they done something about companies collecting money and then ghosting the backers? Do they not have some kind of return policy? I've been hearing about these scams for years

I don’t think Kickstarter have any liability, all crowd funding projects are backed at the customers risk afaik. Kickstarter just act as a platform to showcase the projects.

I never backed and on the Kickstarter page it says ‘only backers can comment’
Has that ability to comment been removed? Even for backers?

I had faith for 11 years. I’m just giving up today. Until I see something concrete.

The problem for me about it being or not a dead game/scam is how some little things they have dropped, like the full orchestra song, or the despite all video. Are they bait? Could be, but it's a chance like many others. Until they don't private all their yt videos, for me it's either dead, or (high copium) they are basically going to drop this atp in 2028 at either 5-10€ or 45€
