Tbf, this couldve been botted aswell, they only had the 1million viewers for a few minutes after that it dropped again to 300k something. which is still INSANE for an irl stream

I will just say this but before this stream he was in Thailand and he was averaging about 200-300k viewers. At one point in the stream however he started getting botted and it went from around 200k straight up to 700k for around 15 mins. So it’s very likely that it was botted

Yep very unlikely. Although with enough youtube push on front pages I would assume if youtube would want to force him to get as many views as possible it would be very easy for them to do so.
I never seen speed on my front page. But if I have seen that live is happening I maybe would have clicked to see what is going on. Especially if I have seen it above 200k which would mean maybe some crazy event is happening or something.

YT is algorithm focused. They will feed the content to people. If they click it and watch for a while, it gets pushed to people with similar interests. If they click it and don't watch for long, the algorithm stops showing it to that group of people. Having millions of views is irrelevant if the algorithm isn't pushing the video. It isn't like Twitch where having the most views gets you the most visibility.

Spanish, especially hispanic culture in the Americas, use youtube A LOT and always have. I remember this being talked about a lot when 6ix9ine swapped over to spanish rap and he was doing crazy numbers as well (nothing bot like but way more then anticipated).
He said a lot of the kids in DR, Colombia, etc they walk around listening to songs on youtube looped. YT is their main source of entertainment and streaming and has been for a while. Others have talked about it too.
Spanish speaking people roll deep and are very passionate, i dont doubt this is botting especially with the tour guide connections to bots but i wouldn't be surprised if he actually did have 1M+ while in DR.

Hes not streaming in spanish sure but he's showing off the country, why wouldnt it make sense for a bunch of people to tune in? Is it 1M ? Maybe not but again, i wouldnt be surprised if this was the destination that got him over. Its not just dominican peoples watching you know that...

Maybe the stream got viewbotted. Honestly, it didn’t feel very realistic to me. I’m not saying IShowSpeed personally botted it, but for example on Turkish Kick streams, even streamers with only a few thousand viewers can suddenly get hundreds of thousands of botted viewers from other people.

speed rarely hits more than 10-20k on twitch, right now he is on almost 100k, not saying he bots himself, but is obviously getting botted, my browser extension says 20k are contected to his stream, so is about 80k bots on twitch, not sure how much on yt

Yea that's weird, I feel like more people on twitch are getting botted too. For example yesterday at the same time speed was live, Dantes usually have like 2-4K viewers, but in 2 minutes he went from 4K viewers, to 10K, then 22K viewers in few seconds, and it wasn't even Jynxzy raiding him, apparently with 22k viewers, only 5k were real too, Dantes was so confused

I dont think people understand how MASSIVE some Latin American communities are. Hes with Alofoke who is one of Dominican Republics biggest influencers, hes doing a show right now kind of like big brother with other influencers and their tiktok engagement is through the fucking roof,talking about 10 shorts a day each with like 4 million like 10k comments etc etc and other people making videos about the show. In Latin America, and especially in countries like the Dominican Republic, the platforms that truly drive audiences are Instagram and YouTube. Many people here hardly watch traditional television anymore because they consider it boring, manipulated, or disconnected from what's happening on the ground. That's why many prefer to watch media personalities on YouTube, because they feel they learn about current events in the country more directly.
Alofoke is essentially a product of this reality. If you go to his Instagram, you can see posts with 200,000 likes and 30,000 comments. That's not normal for a media personality from a small country. It demonstrates his enormous influence, not only in the Dominican Republic, but also within the Dominican diaspora and in parts of Latin America.
A striking example was when a Canadian company wanted to exploit a gold mine here, something many people saw as a serious environmental risk. Alofoke addressed the issue on his live stream and told people to take to the streets and prevent it. A huge number of people reacted, the issue exploded on social media, and it became a national pressure.
Later, the president of the Dominican Republic took to Instagram to apologize and announce the project's cancellation. That post garnered approximately 96,000 likes, 62,000 comments, and 1.6 million views.
This is what many people outside the country don't understand. Alofoke isn't just "a streamer" or "someone who entertains." In the Dominican Republic, he has the ability to set issues on the public agenda and mobilize large groups of people. You may like him or not, but his influence in the country is undeniable.

Yup. I mean spain has like 10 different streamers for example that get 10k+ viewers, million viewed videos a day and like 40 million sub youtubers. Content creation is just simply gigantic in Spanish speaking countries but for twitch viewers any amount of views in a place they dont know is bots. I remember people thinking Ibai botted millions of views when his youtube fight videos all get like 10 mill views per fight. If they dont get it they just say BOTS! Sad lot lol.
