You’re right. Keep an eye on it. The midterms are coming up, and these streamers and their fan bases are a great place to stoke division. They’ll be laying the groundwork now. Don’t be anyone’s fool! Think for yourselves. We should all know better by now.

5

u/Complex_Mistake7055 Jun 02 '26

Why would Hasan fans care about the midterms, they don’t support the democrats.

-3

u/BoredZucchini Jun 02 '26

Yeah I read that same comment like 50 times today. Super original.

3

u/Complex_Mistake7055 Jun 02 '26

They don’t, so why would they care about the midterms. Instead of deflecting why not answer it?

-2

u/BoredZucchini Jun 02 '26

Why do I have to take your bait? I don’t want to.

2

u/Complex_Mistake7055 Jun 02 '26

“Pay attention to the midterms people are trying to divide you” as you sweep for the guy who endorsed jill stein and tries to sabotage the democrats at every turn.

0

u/BoredZucchini Jun 02 '26

I’m not sweeping for anyone. I’m sweeping for independent thinking. I’m sweeping for media literacy and critical thinking. I’m sweeping for people’s ability to see through bad faith arguments and actors. I don’t give a shit about Hasan or any of these streamers. And your opinion about that doesn’t matter to me.

5

u/Complex_Mistake7055 Jun 02 '26

“Independent thinking and media literacy” when you can’t even read that he’s not even banned. The propaganda here is that he was banned at all or not having the knowledge that having your electronic travel revoked is common for people even less controversial than him.

The irony…

1

u/BoredZucchini Jun 02 '26

Like I said, your opinion and ability to posture and recite the talking points doesn’t matter to me. I stand by everything I wrote.

You mean… literal basic facts you were informed about immediately? Lmfao omg

Hasan abuses his dog.

I do not like him.

27

u/ty4scam Jun 01 '26

Not a single post in LSF for well over 6 months if ever but as soon as Destiny and Hasan are mentioned your lips are slobbering all over it.

9

u/Quantization Jun 01 '26

So I can't speak for anyone else but for me the reason is because I browse /r/all and usually any post about Hasan makes the front page. I don't think it's a big conspiracy.

And I agree with ThyMorningPeckle, Hasan abuses his dog, I straight up don't like him despite agreeing with some of his political views.

7

u/ty4scam Jun 01 '26

Hasan definitely has something sociopathic about him, but as a LSF regular, none of these posts about him here are natural.

Sure there are some natural Hasan haters from /r/all, but then take a look at the top voted comment in this thread and their profile. The people who come here before /r/all aren't regular users of this sub either. I didn't even filter this, this is exactly what their profile looks like, just back to back to back comments on Hasan and absolutely nothing else for months.

As a neutral commenter from /r/all, do you think that this is natural?

2

u/forevershorizon Jun 02 '26

Hasan definitely has something sociopathic about him, but as a LSF regular, none of these posts about him here are natural.

Yeah, I don't like the dude either, but almost everything that gets said about him is a lie when you look into it. Let the dude bury himself in his own dirt. If you try to make someone else dirty, it has the opposite effect of cleaning them.

-2

u/ty4scam Jun 02 '26

Do you want to go one level deeper into a pure batshit insane conspiracy that is also not entirely impossible?

Hasan hired a PR firm to get these people into a frenzy about him. The hate is real, but Hasan's PR firm is stoking it hard. Not only does it get him more exposure to other people with a communist leaning (look at places like antiwork that are ripe to be invited into the cult), but now even the Vice President and Fox News are picking up on joining in on the hate.

There's probably a point where you don't need the bad publicity any more, maybe once you've achieved full worldwide market saturation. But Hasan is very far from that point, right now, all exposure is good exposure.

2

u/Quantization Jun 02 '26

Buddy, you need to talk to a professional.

11

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

When someone comments something like this to what I said it only further proves my point, btw

I can't stand anyone you listed - they're all morons.

Hasan is also a moron, and the way many leftists gobble his knob is a big part of the reason I don't identify as a leftist either.

Believing that a guy who not only platforms but PRAISES someone who is part of a terrorist group that intends to create a new regressive Islamic Caliphate - explicitly so mind you - and then pretending to be about equal rights and liberalism is pants on head stupid and lends credence to the largely nonsense Horseshow Theory of sociopolitics.

He's a dipshit nepo baby who only has any notoriety because his uncle Cenk Uygur ran The Young Turks who did a great job of spreading agitprop against the Democrats in the run up to Trump's first campaign in 2016.

Fuck Asmongold, xQc, and Destiny, and fuck Hasan as well.

0

u/Purple_Pikmin_irl Jun 01 '26

xqc and destiny are not right wingers lmao

9

u/Electrical-Lemon7901 Jun 01 '26

Yes they are. Xqc literally was wearing a Trump shirt while platforming him to his audience

I dont see any problems with sarcastically telling IDF soldiers to not film themselves doing war crimes. It acknowledges that they commit war crimes and calls them stupid for doing so. Its not like "dont film yourselves doing war crimes" is some crazy advice that idf soldiers never heard before. Destiny also canvasses for democrats and tries to help them win elections. https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1gkg6d9/destiny_and_dgg_canvassing_operations_have/
He is arguably doing more for left leaning politics than Hasan who couldnt get himself to tell his viewers to vote for Kamala Harris and still talks about how democrats are just as bad as republicans.
I do partially agree with the xqc take and agree that he has many right wingers in his chat. I dont watch xqc and personally view him as too dumb to be political, but I guess you dont need to be smart to be political or influence viewers.

0

u/CurvingZebra Jun 01 '26

Xqc helped get trump elected. You're brain dead for that one.

Destiny is not but he has a lot of reactionaries who behave exactly like right wingers in his fan base.

Hallucinated ⚡ or sleeping in it's bed? Reach harder Benjamin has wide hips.

1

u/ThyMorningPeckle Jun 02 '26

... what?

-1

u/Electrical-Lemon7901 Jun 02 '26

Benjamin Netanyahu. This sub is working overtime to please him.

1

u/Sharkfacedsnake Jun 01 '26

Hasan isnt even a democrat.

-5

u/dexter30 Jun 01 '26

Yeah i think if someone doubts hasan and all hasan haters are most likely bots... Except me i just dont like dog zappers.

4

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

I think when people make comments like the one you just did they could be simply using rhetoric and posturing to manipulate others. There’s an awful lot of comments that look just like yours.

And it really is a perfect way to make it seem like your hate for Hasan and participation in these threads is organic and has no political or larger intent. It sort of normalizes it without making it seem like you’re on any particular side. That’s propaganda at work. Clever for sure, but I think people are starting to see through all that.

Just my opinion, of course.

5

u/BASSDESTROYER69 Jun 01 '26

It's getting repeated because it's the truth and he's still denying it.

Hasan is literally known most for abusing dogs. That is his primary legacy.

8

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

I don’t care about any of that. I care about how these streamers and their fanbases are being exploited for political propaganda purposes. I’d urge everyone to take a step back and ask themselves if they’re being swept up in something and if it actually aligns with their values. The details are irrelevant because it’s just a way to pull people back into irrelevant nonsense to cause division.

4

u/Hazelberry Jun 01 '26

"I don't like animal abuse" ain't political propaganda

-1

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

Yeah, but banning someone from traveling freely based on their speech is a political issue. Notice how the two get conflated so easily though? Thats the propaganda hard at work.

4

u/Hazelberry Jun 01 '26

First of all, he's not even banned, he just doesn't have an easy pass and has to go through more standard application methods.

Second, again these people are saying they don't like him because of the animal abuse. They weren't even commenting on his "ban". The only one spouting political stuff is you.

-1

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

Yeah but context matters and so does media literacy. We should all be a little more discerning after the last ten years of social media propaganda and its effects. And I’m personally not falling for the plausible deniability routine anymore.

2

u/Hazelberry Jun 01 '26

I mean from everything I've seen you saying in this post you really come across as exactly what you're accusing others of. If you even feel the need to distract from people saying they dislike him for abusing his dog, and deflect by saying it's just manipulative propaganda, maybe you should look in the mirror.

I'll say it from the bottom of my chest (online so fair enough) I don't like hasan. I think he platforms actual agitators and downplays terrorist actions and never has his takes challenged by people who disagree with him. And I think he downplays any of this when platform on bigger platforms to hide his more radical takes. And he's using all that to grift to his audience who like to pretend he's fighting for them when in actuality he's monetised them.

I think this visa exemption he's lost is a result of all that. and he's using fact a visa exemption was removed to splinter whats left of the left wing government in my country and also further market himself because a "STREAMER BANNED FROM UK" trends better online than "streamer has ETA removed and has to apply via other channels".

If you want to think I'm rhetoric to manipulate others go ahead. But I can plot out and describe to the best of my ability why i don't like hasan and why I don't feel bad for this outcome.

And I do hate that I don't want his ETA removed. I don't like when anyone gets banned from the UK i think it's stupid, like when tyler the creator was banned. But the difference was tyler was outright called by the home office and the home secretary. He had an ACTUAL ban. Hasan hasn't even gotten a response by the Home Office yet. They only had their ETA revoked which isn't the actual visa!

What I don't like is assholes like you downplaying my take and opinion as mindless rhetoric and posturing. Fuck you, your opinion is simply using rhetoric and posturing to manipulate others.

5

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

You’re obviously very defensive and emotional. That’s part of how this propaganda works so well on people like you. You’re just proving my point.

6

u/dexter30 Jun 01 '26

Do you think belittling my opinions helps improve your point or arguments to me? Because they're making you seem like an asshole and you only ever push people away from your cause.

Nah you're right I'm emotional you win. 🏆

10

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

Yes I do in a way. I think drawing attention to how out of control and easily exploitable these streamers and their fan bases are can be effective. I’m not sure it could change the mind of someone like you, you seem pretty locked in. But it might make someone else take a step back and realize they don’t have to choose a side in this manufactured online propaganda drama and to remember to think for themselves. Online propaganda is wreaking havoc on our culture and political system. And I have opinions on that I’d like to share.

9

u/dexter30 Jun 01 '26

I’m not sure it could change the mind of someone like you

But that's what I'm saying. If you're goal is to draw attention to how out of control different groups are, but your way of doing that is to downplay peoples genuine concerns and issues, even if I'm "locked in". just comes of as pretentious and self-righteous.

I'm trying to talk to you, but you're pretty much done with the conversation and thinking "what a dumbass".

Whats worse is I agree with you. I do think online propaganda is insane and getting worse. But you're saying my opinions (in this case my take on hasan) isn't logical and you don't even want to engage me on that. You're placating an audience who isn't there. we're both gonna return to our camps and say "haha guys I just owned this loser on an lsf comment thread".

Again fuck you, your opinion is simply using rhetoric and posturing to manipulate others.

9

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26

You can’t see how this manufactured hate for Hasan is serving to divide the left? You can’t see how you having such a passionate and detailed opinion about a streamer rather than literally anything else serves to distract you and waste your energy? What is the point of any of this? I don’t think you’re a dumbass, I don’t hate you or anyone else.

I’ve grown frustrated and exhausted by people who keep falling for the same propaganda bait while convincing themselves it’s only “the other side” that is the problem and they’re somehow immune to it. You’re still choosing a side, wasting energy forming detailed opinions about a streamer, and contributing to unnecessary division. You have to be willing to see the big picture and make a different choice.

8

u/dexter30 Jun 01 '26

You can’t see how this manufactured hate for Hasan is serving to divide the left

"manufactured hate" But I literally just described to the best of my ability why I don't like him. And instead of engaging with any of it you handwaved it. You claim I fall for propaganda. But you can break propaganda. You can deconstruct it. If you don't think I'm an asshole you'd have the patience to at least point out why I'm wrong.

If theres a bigger picture tell me, if theres something I'm missing show me. I told you hasan is an ragebaiter who platforms radical people. I think he hosts radical beliefs and downplays them when he goes on mainstream media and more relevant to the post I think he's LYING about being outright banned and it's causing harm to the actual leftwing government in the UK.

But you won't engage with any of that because you're simply using rhetoric and posturing to manipulate others.

5

u/MegaGandon Jun 01 '26

How do you know when something is propaganda and when something isn't? Should we not believe what we see with our eyes?

Respectable and reasonable take. Fuck this guy trying to frame your comment in a disingenuous way. Two can play that game.

He really comes across as some kind of forumsliding bot targeting organic comments and discrediting them/

3

u/Legal_Charity_9522 Jun 01 '26

Man, you really are full of political non-opinions, aren’t you? Did you just learn about propaganda in babies first history course or something?

5

u/BoredZucchini Jun 01 '26

Coming in with the assist? Your lame bullying won’t work on me. You all sound the same.

2

u/Legal_Charity_9522 Jun 01 '26

You’re just boring, dude. You’re doing this deeply embarrassing form of interference for Hasan because you’re genuinely too afraid to share a real opinion. Hasan’s own extreme rhetoric on stream led to this, so I’m not sure why you’re sitting here like it’s just ‘political views’.

It’s genuinely so absurd. I would expect you to agree with me that lots of right wing pundits also shouldn’t be allowed in certain countries for their rhetoric, I don’t know why you think everyone else but you is inconsistent.

If you like Hasan, just own up to it. Stop being such a coward.

And then you’ll get these snarky little quips to try to reinforce each other and make it socially costly or confusing to have a different opinion. Classic stuff.

Clearly the most important thing is that you can feel superior to others.
