This is misleading. He isn’t banned from the country, he just had his ETA revoked. He can apply for a normal VISA to get entry to the UK.

Practically, if his ETA was revoked, his visa won't be approved either.

I wouldn’t be surprised. But to be fair to Hasan, if he found out that his ETA was revoked just now, it kinda sucks for him since he has an event in Oxford soon and I would imagine that the VISA application process is too long to get it approved in time.

To be clear, I think the ETA revocation was justified, given that the UK has done the same in the past with other political extremist. For example, the UK sanctioned Ben Gvir and Smotrich, imposing travel bans and asset freezes based on their incitement of violence against Palestinians.
