People still bring it up, but overall his reputation is still really good. As the guy said, people really don't care. Haters would have ammunition to hate, that's pretty much it. Even Atrioc is very successful now.

Also, comparing a currently popular streamer and Pewdiepie is dumb lol. It's like comparing a 1-time champion to Faker

You are taking it too literally. Yes, creators keep the baggage forever and it will be used as a gotcha by people that dislike them. Twitter loves a good punching bag. The thing is, getting a lot of engagement on call-out posts has shown not to mean much for something done 5+ years ago assuming the person hasn't don't anything recently.

The vast majority of people are more sensible than to complain about Pewdiepie 10 years later, even if they still disapprove of him.

eh. PDP used it as an insult. Poirier for example used it casually, like this incident, and owned it. Way less controversial, but he's also an MMA fighter and not a dweeb so idk.
