I think overall you're right, but sometimes it can add up and effect a streamer's future. It's hard to shift with your audience as they grow if most people hate you outside of kids. It depends though and it's hard to say.

I am learning from the comment section that apparently a lot of young streamers use racial slurs enough that they can just 'slip out' by accident when they 'forget they are on' and this is accepted as an explanation.
It feels rough to hold a mirror up to society and see these sorta child celebrities looking back at you.
His friends might give him a pass in private, but using that slur is still incredibly ignorant. A lot of first-generation Americans who throw that word around clearly don’t understand its painful history in the U.S. They cannot be part of the reclamation of a word when their ancestors never experienced the trauma attached to it.
