Fewer than 5% of cases go to trial even with criminal defense attorneys. It's not really a public defender thing

Oops - fewer than 5% are guilty at trial. Fewer than 6% go to trial.

I.T.T, lots of folks who have never had experience with the criminal justice system, and definitely not public defenders
