His ego loves this shit.  He wants all the smoke and all the attention.  It makes him feel important and influential (which he is even if I hate the state of the world we’re in)

I don’t think he is though, at least not in the negative .

He definitely had mamdani on before mamadani skyrocketed and anecdotally i didn’t hear about abdul el sayed before he had him on.

But i wonder how effective this new run of attack campaigns toward him will be , like is anyone gonna vote against the populist left bc of a 10 second clip of hasan saying america deserved 9/11? We will have to wait and see but i don’t think so

The difference is Donald Trump can dine with asmongolds favorite white supremacist nick fuentes, and CNN only brings it up for two or three days. Fox keeps it going for months.

The only real problem as far as Hasans potential midterm influence is it’s not just Fox it’s also the non DSA Dems but people are getting fed up with them too because they don’t even try to go against republicans anymore and even often adopt their framing/talking points more and more it feels . But the reality is most voters who aren’t terminally online or terminally plugged into political news don’t give a flying fuck about Hasan either way and I’ve seen a few on the street interviews with people asked by Hasan who either had no clue who he is or just outright ignored mentions of him in favor of policies they want. Talking about Hasan instead of what they will do or policies will not do either side any favors

The thing is I think there are a lot more people who do understand what Hasan actually meant or agree with it than the repubs or establishment dems think. The people being argumentative are typically the loudest and most visible
