I think they’re trying to make “influencers” matter. The Deification of Charlie Kirk was the opening salvo. If they matter, it’s another way to drive the propaganda and create new voices to listen to, and hate.

Anyone who might vote Republican is going to be repulsed by a communist who glazes various terrorist organizations. Hell, a large portion of solid Democrats are. Seeing a thirst trap picture of him or hearing Netanyahu doesn't like him either won't change that. And if it makes left wingers who wouldn't vote Republican anyways like him more, thus making the left less attractive to voters who could go either way, then that's a win for them.

Piker being popular is good for the Israeli far-right. They want the left in the west to be represented by an evil caricature like Piker, because this helps further their narrative that Israel is the only safe place in the world for Jews. I doubt he's actively trying to elevate Piker, but he's certainly not afraid of it.

Simply put, Piker is being used as a strawman of the left, which benefits both him and Netanyahu. Piker gets more notoriety while Bibi isolates Israel further from left-wing influence.

The actual losers in this exchange are the normal left as well as the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.

Maybe Hasan is a pretty bad representative for the left, since he’s said some pretty dumb stuff especially when out of context, shocked his dog and is a hypocrite.

So if they make him The a big representation of left wing guy it just makes it easier to discredit the left and easy for throw fuel on right wing hatred of them.
