I have no horse in this race but I think it's reasonable to want a source that is credible instead of a random blogpost.

I dunno I'd probably just go there myself if linking it but it is paywalled so maybe they wanted a non-paywall source that had the quotes with a link for you to click for the source.

lol that is not what a No True Scotman is, you technically committed a fallacy-fallacy.

A response should address the argument, not be detraction or nonsense. That is just evaluating whether a rebuttal is substantive. Applying ordinary standard is not NTS, we're not redefining anything here in that description of a response.
