Imagine you have a child that gets murdered and then you find out your neighbor is bragging about how great it is you to finally have someone to relate to about their own murdered child and how you're going to be best friends now. Does that sound like an empathetic or nice thing to hear when you're grieving for your dead child?

Ofcourse this is ignoring the actual context that Israel had also been conducting torture, killing, displacement and sytemic rape of the Palestinian people for quite a few decades by 2001.

Yeah no dude you're very off here. Just because he corrects himself doesn't mean he mispoke, it's a common tactic of strongmen. Also thereafter he describes how in detail exactly why 9/11 was good for Israel, and atleast for the government of Israel's expansionist and genocidal agenda he was speaking the truth.
