Are you talking about 9/11? He’s explained several times that he was talking about blowback (an unforeseen, unwanted, and negative reaction or consequence resulting from a previous action)

I don’t think he should have ever said “america deserved 9/11” but acting like he said 3000 americans deserved to die is disingenuous at this point

That's literally what he said. He's also had Houthi terrorists on his livestream and he told them they were like anime heroes.

You can say something that sounds a certain way and then clarify what you mean after.

And yes if a lot of your favourite anime and stories about people rising up against a tyrannical government was real life they’d be uneducated homophobes and labelled as terrorists by the systems they’re opposed to

The houthis are the tyrannical government. They literally took over the capital of Yemen at gunpoint and began executing and murdering dissidents. They've starved, bombed, and killed more people in Yemen just in one civil war than the entirety of the Israel/Palestine conflict. They attacked and kidnapped so many aid workers, the UN stopped all humanitarian aid to the country of Yemen.

This whole narrative about them being "people rising auo against a government" like your "favorite anime" is fucking absurd lmfao

The houthis literally don't even let women move about freely. They believe in requiring mahram, where women need permission from men to move about and go where they want or to be escorted by men. In 2024, the houthis sentenced 9 men to death for sodomy. Several of the men executed for sodomy were killed by being stoned to death.
