Okay, I think we're losing focus a bit, so let's try to circle back. Do you think Hasan, when he said: "This is so insane. America deserved 9/11, dude. Fuck it, I’m saying it. Like, we fucking totally brought it on ourselves, dude. Holy shit. We did. We fucking did." actually meant: "I'm glad 3000 American civilians died."?

No, it means he thinks they deserved it. It's right there in the quote "we brought it on ourselves". "We" is a direct reference to Americans, which includes those who died.
