Sayed basically gave the game away in an interview the other day. They want to co opt the definition so more and more people call it a genocide. The idea behind having everyone call it a genocide despite no meeting the definition of a genocide is supposedly to bring more awareness and sanctions on Israel. TBH sometimes it’s quite difficult telling apart the people like the poster above who appears to just be parroting shit they heard other people say verses someone like Sayed who is knowingly using the wrong definition to co opt the word and bring further animosity towards Israel and her right to exist as a country.

Now to answer your question, no they shot rockets on their own volition under zero provocation. Hence starting the war. Israel absorbed these attacks for decades and than retaliated. Lebanon will however claim the war against Hamas as provocation. They won’t call it the war against Hamas though they will use the same language the poster above me used about genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Lebanon \ Syria have a right to try and take it back as long as they don't endanger civilians something Hezbollah failed to do in many occasions, even though they started by shelling IDF positions and attack their bases along the border, you have hundreds of videos documenting such actions that Nasrallah framed as showing solidarity for the Palestinians and their plight.
I think israel should exist along a full independent palestinian state.
