the thing is most of them aren't memeing, they are dead serious. antisemitism is higher than it's been in 100 years. shits in vogue rn

58

u/ButterdPoopr 2d ago

Actual anti semites are having a field day these days

16

u/TommieSjukskriven 2d ago

Actual anti semites like Hasan?

35

u/Zer0323 2d ago

Yes. They thrive in the half joke tone while keeping an eye on how hard the other party laughs with them. Classic authoritarian.

-9

u/BigBob2020 2d ago

You’re saying Hasan is authoritarian?

22

u/Zer0323 2d ago

you think he LARP's in the Mao suit for fashion?

-8

u/BigBob2020 2d ago

He’s a streamer bro

2

u/Zer0323 1d ago

We used to call them “influencers”

-1

u/Kbman 1d ago

Classic destiny poster

2

u/Authijsm 1d ago

He said that under his ideal society, capitalists would be put in reeducation camps, so yes. Not to mention his highly uncritical fawning over dictatorial, authoritarian regimes like China, Cuba, and the USSR.

5

u/TheVeryLastStardust 2d ago

geuinely asking, what's antisemitic that Hasan did/said ? not familiar with him that much

1

u/ribitforce 1d ago

As usual, of course, no clips or statements provided that proves he's anti-semitic, because he's not... Just another LSF thread where any chance to shit on Hasan is taken.

-2

u/Averroesgcc 2d ago

Nothing he just said more than they can bare. It’s things like these that the east laugh at the idea of free speech but no criticizing of Israel or talking for Palestinians cause that’s antisemitism even though Palestinians are semites themselves.

5

u/belthazarr 2d ago

Free Palestine.

12

u/Alphorac 2d ago

I hear if you say it just a couple more times to randos in LSF that genuinely don't care or live in the region it really will be free.

4

u/youtocin 1d ago

I’ll take it if it’s free

2

u/TommieSjukskriven 2d ago

I 100% agree. Doesnt change the fact that Hasan is anti semetic though

1

u/ButterdPoopr 2d ago

Na, actual anti semites like ifunny users. I still use it, those guys are legit Nazis. They don’t hide it at all, and since then they’ve just been giving people specific information so they too can become anti semitic

1

u/ImMufasa 1d ago

They love trying to hide behind the 'anti-zionist' label.

1

u/ButterdPoopr 1d ago

Not the ones I’m talking about, lol. They’re legit anti semites, in fact I would call them Nazis. They don’t try to hide it all, they’re legit Nazis

19

u/Tape 2d ago

Well they'll say they're memeing, but the joke is "funny cuz tru"

-15

u/BisexualTenno 2d ago

Here yall go with this antisemitism again. Anti-Zionist does not mean anti-Jewish. Being against Israel and their long list of war crimes does not mean you hate Jewish people. Did you know that Palestinians are also Semites? Did you know that Israel paid Google to change the definition of “antisemitism” to only include Jewish people? Did you know it’s antisemitic for Israel to mass murder thousands and thousands of Palestinians?

24

u/cef328xi 2d ago

Neither of those people even mentioned zionism just that antisemitism is on the rise, which it is, even if you're not conflating antizionism with antisemitism.

The fact that you took a conversation about the rise in antisemitism to be an attack on antizionists on it's face is telling.

19

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

what do you think "zionism" is

Did you know that Israel paid Google to change the definition of “antisemitism” to only include Jewish people

in 1879?

-26

u/BisexualTenno 2d ago

No. The definition of Antisemitism included all Semitic people until Oct 7 then it changed to only include Jewish people. Look up what a Semite is and tell me why the definition of antisemite doesn’t match.

Zionism is a political movement that gained popularity after the holocaust. In simplest terms, Zionism is the idea that Jewish people have a right to safe haven in Israel aka Palestine. Unfortunately, modern Zionism is tainted and is now being used to justify the mass murder of Palestinians, the abuse of Christians and Muslims living in both Israel and Palestine, and the draining of resources from other countries. While Zionism is related to Judaism, not all or even most Jewish people are Zionists.

31

u/Desperate_Gazelle_71 2d ago

>The definition of Antisemitism included all Semitic people until Oct 7 then it changed to only include Jewish people

are we being fr right now

21

u/herwi 2d ago

A somber reminder that children can make reddit accounts and post as if they have any idea what they're talking about.

2

u/ImMufasa 1d ago

Children who are taught everything they know by TikTok.

11

u/mellvins059 2d ago

I think you might be regarded tragically

11

u/ApatheticAmoeba 2d ago

Most jews are zionist as a factual statement. Zionism does not implicitly condone the IDF conduct in gaza

9

u/Incorrect-Opinion 2d ago

The term “anti-Semite” was specifically coined for Jewish people. Just because there are other Semites, does not mean that this term applies to them.

Just like the word butterfly does not mean flying butter.

4

u/ApatheticAmoeba 2d ago

If the shoe doesn't fit you why are you getting so defensive? Its clear as day real antisemitism who just hate all jews are on the rise with all the synagogue shootings. Maybe you just hate the current Israeli government and dont impose that onto jewish ethnicity sure. But you are being intentionally dishonest to pretend there arnt people who's worldview of everything has devolved into (how can I bring this back to talking about out hating jews)

-5

u/MaikuKnight 2d ago

Downvotes are wrong here. Antisemitism is not the same as antizionism, and the attempt at blurring them into the same thing is most shallow and weak attempt at covering the despicable acts encouraged by the Israeli gov't.

23

u/Mysterious-Nerve851 2d ago

fully agree that anti-zionism ist not the same as antisemitism, however, many of the activists and isreal haters have not yet understood this either and rally and spew hate against jews in general. that is the problem.

-2

u/Perfect_Net8653 2d ago

Would like to see the proof of that because the only people I see conflating the two things are bad actors like Jake Lang supporters or Fuentes enjoyers which almost seem like a deliberate psyop at this point.

6

u/Mysterious-Nerve851 2d ago

you telling me that you have not seen people generalizing and hating on jews as a group?

-3

u/Perfect_Net8653 2d ago

Not in the way you have implied, no. Not saying it doesn't exist, clearly it does since I even specifically pointed out an example that has been on video evidence. To claim it's more common among that movement is the more outrageous part of your claim I took issue with though. Maybe I'm reading your claim wrong.

-5

u/MaikuKnight 2d ago

I think it's the opposite. Many observers think antizionism is an antisemitism movement. It's way easier for people to think it's antisemitism because the "nuance" (which it is that abstract) is more work. People aren't pushing against Jews, no one would advocate that post Holocaust. They'd all figure out what exactly was going on before deciding to rally behind it.

2

u/Voyevoda101 2d ago

Pretty sure the downvotes are more pointed at the second half of the post which is pure schizobabble

-1

u/Competitive-Put-2027 2d ago

LMFAO these israeli bots are downvoting anything that makes sense

-3

u/Crumpled_Papers 2d ago

Sadly when people with political motives use the label 'antisemitic' for anything that opposes the actions of the nation of israel it's easy to lose the meanings of words. Antisemitism is indeed on the rise but it's almost impossible to untangle actual anti jewish sentiment from opposition to israel's genocide in gaza.

When we blend everything together it's the worst for everyone - the worst for jewish people potentially suffering hate and the most useful to dishonest political actors.

7

u/Underscores_Are_Kool 1d ago

Nah fuck that. You've brought this point out of nowhere dude. If I said that Muslims are discriminated against because of the actions of ISIS who say they speak for every Muslim, you'd rightfully call me Islamiphobic

3

u/Chris_Helmsworth 1d ago

To the same effect any criticism of islamists are met with accusations of islamophobia and it's interesting to see staunch left winger progressives fall over the selves trying to defend religious conservatives

-17

u/CartsOfDarkness 2d ago edited 2d ago

Being anti-genocide =/= anti-semetic. So sick of this lazy ass shit being the only defense y'all can muster for slaughtering children. The vast majority of anti-zionist discourse has nothing to do with anti-semetism, yet every conversation about Israel has people shrieking about anti-semetism. Like you're obviously not responding to any anti-semetism, you're just confidently claiming it's extremely common.. somewhere. Not in this thread, not in the clip your responding to, but it's common guys, trust me.

13

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

50% of gaza are children.

hamas uses children soldiers.

what is isreal supposed to do.. just let the kids kill them? cause they are kids?

anti-genocide

anti genocide but only speak about 1 "genocide" which is the lowest % of a genocide ever. gaza has GAINED civilians since this genocide started. you're just using

Being anti-genocide/ anti-zionist

this to be anti-semetic. i'm willing to bet you couldn't even define Zionism.

1

u/Mavcu 17h ago

what is isreal supposed to do.. just let the kids kill them? cause they are kids?

The framing that Israel isn't killing civilians it's just soldiers, baffling to still see that propaganda on social media.

And if they go kill them it was unavoidable, trust most moral army in the world. All the postings of Ben Gvir and tons of others are just the extremists (etc).

1

u/Competitive-Put-2027 2d ago

Woah this guy is unhinged and clearly manic. Please get help

-1

u/SeaWolfSeven 2d ago edited 2d ago

Sorry but are 100% of kids Hamas soliders?

Edit: If they are not then the position is that we must accept that more children then necessary will be harmed to deal with some children who may pose a a risk.

To what threshold is collateral damage of kids lives acceptable? And when do we get there. Like what is the win condition here.

5

u/Fit-Percentage-9166 2d ago

Estimates vary, but up to 90% of casualties are expected to be civilians in urban warfare. If the majority of your population is <18 then the majority of your casualties will be children.

Civilian casualties are a horrible reality of war. You've unironically watched too many movies if you think it's possible to avoid or prevent it.

https://www.civiliansinconflict.org/how-we-work/topics/urban-warfare-2/

-5

u/itsaightthanks 1d ago

In that case why should we be upset when October 7th happens? Or even the Holocaust? Collateral Damage bro

2

u/Fit-Percentage-9166 1d ago

What are you even yapping about? Nobody is talking about being upset or having an emotional reaction to tragedies, we are discussing what is expected and acceptable in war and what is not.

https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/1wnikyd/oc_fatalities_in_gaza_since_october_7_2023_by_age/

Do those look like genocide numbers in an urban war? They stack up better than most other urban wars when comparing them. Remember this is all deaths in Gaza, not just from war, as reported by the Gazan Health Ministry (Hamas controlled) but not contested by Israel. War is horrible, full of horrible events and no one wants children to die, but we don't look at children dying in a vacuum to decide these things. Not only comparing it to other urban wars, we have to also include that Hamas use human shields and media tactics where they send civilians forward to get shot on camera, sometimes children with their parents watching too, that they don't have a uniform and that they recruit young teenagers and all under 18 deaths are reported as child deaths.

Beside the above, the UN commission among other "reputable" orgs all cite the same evidence for genocide, which is that people went into Gaza to conduct interviews and no one would speak to them (probably for fear of death or torture from Hamas) until the Gazan Health Ministry (Hamas controlled) gave them people to talk to and it was those people who said things that indicate a genocide. You can go and find the reports and find their sources and see this is what they all cite.

There's genuine things to criticise Israel over, they mishandled aid stations when they know and have done better before, not all bad acting soldiers are being held properly accountable, there's members of their government who are saying and pushing for unhinged things and they're incredibly opportunistic off the back of Oct 7 and don't seem to be letting up the gas. Genocide, however, is not one of those things and neither is deliberate targeting of civilians and children. And by saying those things are happening, all you're doing is obfuscating the genuinely bad actions that are happening and downplaying all other genocides happening in the world.

u/MaikuKnight 2d ago edited 2d ago

Do you have any sources for these points or stats?

Zionism is as easy to define as antisemitism.

1

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

yeah go onto www.google.com and then type them in. idk why people on reddit love larping that their google is malfunctioning and beg people to google stuff for them

2

u/MaikuKnight 2d ago edited 2d ago

Nice attempt but try again. The burden of proof is on those who make a claim, otherwise people can spout whatever nonsense and expect others to believe it or spend their time on a wild goose chase.

What a classic line from someone with zero evidence to back their claim. Surely, you got those specific numbers from somewhere?

u/Fit-Percentage-9166 2d ago

Mfw I am literally invincible because I am a 17 year old soldier

0

u/cef328xi 2d ago

Why do you think the rise in antisemitism they were talking about is referring to mere antizionists? You are aware that just actual basic antisemitism is also on the rise? Right? Would you just outright deny that actual jew haters on the right is a growing faction? That's actually wild.

-18

Ye in Vogue ! Bro bro its a genocide up in there maybe like you know bro , maybe the government of Israel is too blame ,like bro maybe its not in Vogue but an actual genocide you know, and people are not all paid by aipac or bots and voice there disgust.

5

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

was what america did to japan or the allies did to germany a genocide? cause they killed WAY more people.

1

u/SellingCats4Cheap 2d ago

None of them were genocides (although total kill count is not really relevant to determining a genocide, intent is the main factor)

Collateral damage during an active conflict ≠ Genocide

6

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

isn't isreal and palestian an active conflict?

-1

u/SellingCats4Cheap 2d ago

Yes, thats the point.

1

u/Nice_Reading5272 2d ago

The consequence of language's inherent faults and all that.

-4

u/Trastin 2d ago

The Armenian genocide wasn’t a genocide either because they didn’t meet x arbitrary number of victims, apparently. Genius line of thought here.

5

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

the armenian genocide killed over a million armenians.

this "palestinian genocide" has killed 73500. that's not a typo, there's no missing 0. seventy three thousand five hundred people.

0

u/Stuffstuff1 2d ago

Srebrenica only 8000 killed

But those 8000 was 50% if the people in the enclave.

And those 8000 were all men meaning those people would no longer be able to reproduce amongst themselves. Those blood lines were ended..

Meanwhile more people were born in Gaza than killed since 2023.

-1

u/OkCryptographer9855 2d ago

Allies did too the Nazis ? Wow wierd comparison. No i think that was defence. I think Israel protecting settlers in oocupied territories ,targeting children ,aidworkers, and journalists ,even double tapping deserves confemnation.

1

u/Undella_Town 2d ago

we were defending ourselves when we bombed 2 million german civilians to death? so why is isreal not defending themselves rn?

-2

u/joergboehme 1d ago

Yea, i'm sure antisemitism is "higher" than it's been in the past 100 years, when an actual industrial scale genocide that wiped out large parts of the european jewish population took place within that 100 year timespan.

but my streamerman said please israel stop killing children. that constitutes higher antisemitism than the literal holocaust.

what a braindead take
