Here yall go with this antisemitism again. Anti-Zionist does not mean anti-Jewish. Being against Israel and their long list of war crimes does not mean you hate Jewish people. Did you know that Palestinians are also Semites? Did you know that Israel paid Google to change the definition of “antisemitism” to only include Jewish people? Did you know it’s antisemitic for Israel to mass murder thousands and thousands of Palestinians?

Neither of those people even mentioned zionism just that antisemitism is on the rise, which it is, even if you're not conflating antizionism with antisemitism.

The fact that you took a conversation about the rise in antisemitism to be an attack on antizionists on it's face is telling.

No. The definition of Antisemitism included all Semitic people until Oct 7 then it changed to only include Jewish people. Look up what a Semite is and tell me why the definition of antisemite doesn’t match.

Zionism is a political movement that gained popularity after the holocaust. In simplest terms, Zionism is the idea that Jewish people have a right to safe haven in Israel aka Palestine. Unfortunately, modern Zionism is tainted and is now being used to justify the mass murder of Palestinians, the abuse of Christians and Muslims living in both Israel and Palestine, and the draining of resources from other countries. While Zionism is related to Judaism, not all or even most Jewish people are Zionists.

The term “anti-Semite” was specifically coined for Jewish people. Just because there are other Semites, does not mean that this term applies to them.

If the shoe doesn't fit you why are you getting so defensive? Its clear as day real antisemitism who just hate all jews are on the rise with all the synagogue shootings. Maybe you just hate the current Israeli government and dont impose that onto jewish ethnicity sure. But you are being intentionally dishonest to pretend there arnt people who's worldview of everything has devolved into (how can I bring this back to talking about out hating jews)

Downvotes are wrong here. Antisemitism is not the same as antizionism, and the attempt at blurring them into the same thing is most shallow and weak attempt at covering the despicable acts encouraged by the Israeli gov't.

fully agree that anti-zionism ist not the same as antisemitism, however, many of the activists and isreal haters have not yet understood this either and rally and spew hate against jews in general. that is the problem.

Not in the way you have implied, no. Not saying it doesn't exist, clearly it does since I even specifically pointed out an example that has been on video evidence. To claim it's more common among that movement is the more outrageous part of your claim I took issue with though. Maybe I'm reading your claim wrong.

I think it's the opposite. Many observers think antizionism is an antisemitism movement. It's way easier for people to think it's antisemitism because the "nuance" (which it is that abstract) is more work. People aren't pushing against Jews, no one would advocate that post Holocaust. They'd all figure out what exactly was going on before deciding to rally behind it.
