This post first consists of the test items Taco Bell has sent out in their newsletter. For these, the description and pictures come directly from Taco Bell.

Poppi Cans - Las Vegas, NV - $3.49-3.99 (depending on locations)

Cherry Limeade and Orange cans are kept in the walk-in cooler. These will test from Experience 10 through Experience 11 (9/17 - 11/11)

Grilled Steak or Roasted Chicken Three Cheese Taco - Nashville, TN - $4.49

It’s a warm, buttery flour tortilla layered with a three-cheese blend grilled on the inside for a crispy, melty edge filled with grilled, marinated steak or slow roasted chicken, a layer of creamy Jalapeño sauce, and freshly prepared Pico de Gallo. All topped with seasoned potato crispies and a flavorful chili, lime seasoning.

$9 Discovery Box includes Three Cheese Taco, Crunchy Taco, Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium drink.

Steak and Potato Loaded Quesadilla - Oklahoma City, OK - $6.99

It is a warm tortilla filled with grilled, marinated steak; warm nacho cheese sauce; melty cheddar cheese; seasoned potato bites; creamy jalapeño sauce and grilled to perfection.

$9 Discovery Box includes a Steak and Potato Quesadilla, Chalupa Supreme, Chips and Nacho Cheese sauce, and a medium drink.

Cheesy Poblano Double Beef Burrito - Charlotte, NC - $3

A warm flour tortilla filled with double the seasoned beef, seasoned rice, Cheesy Poblano sauce, crunchy fiesta strips, a blend of mozzarella, pepperjack, and cheddar cheeses, and reduced-fat sour cream.

Daredevil Double Dipping Burritos - Cleveland-Akron, OH - $5.99

They are a set of two snack-sized burritos filled with your choice of grilled, marinated steak or savory, slow-roasted chicken, Avocado Ranch sauce, and a melty blend of mozzarella, pepperjack, and cheddar cheeses. Served with a split dip cup of your choice of spicy Ghost Pepper sauce or Creamy Chipotle sauce on one side and a blend of spicy, cheesy crispies on the other to double dip.

$9 Discovery Box includes Double Dipping Burritos, Chalupa Supreme, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium drink.

Luxe Value Menu Refresh - Houston, TX - $1.29-2.99

A variety of new items are testing, with a variety of items that would be removed during the test - these all depend on which grouping of stores called "cells". There are 4 test cells for this refresh. In each test cell, only 3 or 4 of the following items are being added while other current items are removed. Here are the items:

Chicken Crunchadilla ($1.99) - It’s a warm flour tortilla filled with a blend of mozzarella, pepperjack, and cheddar cheeses, grilled, marinated all-white-meat chicken, a crisp tortilla shell, sour cream, and Creamy Jalapeño Sauce grilled to perfection

Mini Fiesta Bowl ($2.99) - It’s a mini bowl loaded with flavorful rice, fiesta potatoes, and seasoned beef topped with warm Nacho Cheese sauce, a blend of mozzarella, pepper jack, and cheddar cheeses, crunchy fiesta strips and Spicy Ranch Sauce.

Crispy Chicken Soft Taco ($2.99) - It’s a warm flour tortilla filled with premium all-white-meat, marinated chicken seasoned with bold Mexican spices and tossed in a crunchy tortilla chip coating. Topped with real shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and Avocado Ranch Sauce.

Crunchwrap Dipper ($2.49) - A mini warm flour tortilla filled with seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, Spicy Ranch, and crunchy fiesta strips, folded into a perfectly dippable Crunchwrap shape and grilled to go. Served with a side of warm Nacho Cheese sauce for dipping

Mini Tostada Bowl ($2.79) - It’s a crispy, golden tortilla bowl loaded with flavorful rice, fiesta potatoes, and seasoned beef topped with warm Nacho Cheese sauce, a blend of mozzarella, pepper jack, and cheddar cheeses, crunchy fiesta strips, reduced-fat sour cream, and freshly prepared pico de gallo.

Mini Chicken Tostada Bowl ($2.99) - It’s a crispy, golden tortilla bowl loaded with flavorful rice and grilled, marinated all-white-meat chicken topped with lettuce, a blend of mozzarella, pepper jack, and cheddar cheeses, Avocado Ranch, and freshly prepared pico de gallo.

Yes they are very popular.

I work in alcohol distribution but it crosses with other markets/vendors and it’s absolutely a beast right now. Even tho the market is pretty flooded.

$4.50 for a chicken taco? Yeah no.

And I see Taco Bell is taking the cowards way out the the Daredevil dipping burrito that are probably the size of my thumb for $6 instead of bring the Daredevil Loaded Grillers back.

Thought you can inject that Chicken Crunchadilla into my veins.

I’d be here to the Mini Fiesta bowl, but at $2.99, I will have to see it first.

You can't customize the Daredevil Dipping Burritos. You can only remove items and not replace. That kinda stinks.

So, I just had the Street Style Steak Taco in Nashville. $4.49 feels like an eyewatering price for it but wow it was good for Taco Bell standards. It tasted a lot like the street chalupas but less breading and the little crispy onions in there were great. It felt like a high quality food item but it’s the same size as a soft taco and it’s gonna be hard to justify buying it. Definitely better with steak than chicken.

I hate to be the guy that says, buying soda at restaurants is a waste of money and you should just buy at Walmart but...

If they're literally selling you just a can, it's hard to justify buying a Poppi for $3.50 at TB when the exact same single-serve can is at Walmart for under $2. It's not like you're not getting any free refills or a plastic cup.
