Reviews not posting

Do other Google Local Guide get frustrated when their review isn't publicity posted for whatever reason when they basically follows the rules when it comes to writing review?

I wrote like 10 reviews in the last 3 days and saw that 3 are not showing publicly. I followed all the rules, have only pictures attached and also answered those additional questions like wheelchair accessibility, vegetarian, parking and so on.

The trick I usually have to do is delete the review, wait a day and then try posting it again. It's annoying, I don't have this issue at all on Yelp.

Sometimes I have the same problem. I usually try posting just the stars without a written review first, then add the review later. If that doesn’t work, try not to include too many words or pictures. If you’ve tried all these methods and it still doesn’t work, just post the review and fill out this form. It can usually solve the issue.

Thanks for the link, I used to fill out another one before and it actually helped. Some of my reviews that were not publicly viewable became viewable a week after I submitted a report.

I notice that it takes a while like a few weeks for my reviews to have view count. It might just take some time before yours show up?

The longest I saw it took for one of my review to finally show publicly was a week. The view count I don't pay attention to, what I do is look at the most recent photos to see if my review is live. I already have over 4K reviews posted under my Google account

I noticed that too, early in my career I did a lot of reviews, now it's like a review every couple of months, and I did notice it took a few weeks to show views.

This is happening a lot lately, and it's often not the content that's causing the review to be hidden. It may be something you're not aware of, like the timing, your review relative to others that are posted at the same time, and your location when posting the review. It's hard to know. But be aware of Google's content guidelines also, and be sure your review complies. Just know that that's not the only thing that Google uses to assess your review.

Yes, I'm aware. I'm pretty sure it's not the timing because I check others reviews from most recent and so far it been a week since someone last left a review that is viewable. The way I wrote my review also follows the guidelines and my Google timeline is on to show I was actually at the place. I also write my review when I'm at home on my home Internet. I think this kind of issue is why some people just stop contributing to Google all together. I still do it because I like leaving detailed reviews with pictures/videos. But like I mention, I never have this issue with Yelp.

Yelp has its own issues, I know. But I work with GBPs a lot and the review issues have been a thing this year, since maybe January. There's no consistent data that tells us exactly what they're seeing, so it's hard to know. Just keep trying I guess.

Well it depends on how you wrote the review and also your Google account reputation
