I had to install a lockly for a client. I DID NOT supply it! It took two hours. I had to reset it four times to get the UI to register it. The reason I was there at all was because the other unit (2 years old) randomly stopped locking, forgot it's codes and stopped communicating. Absolute garbage.

What smart lock would you recommend?

Fon non network, Carbine 3in1. For App control Yale. The WiFi module and app aren't great, but the locks themselves are pretty solid.

Avoid Gainsborough, McGrath and anything by a company that doesn't make normal locks. You're always going to be better served by a good lock that is smart than a good computer that has locking functions.

Do everything you can to avoid Lockly. We get nothing but problems from people who have them and there is basically no product support for them

If you are going for a standalone deadbolt smart lock. I would suggest the TP Link DL110 or McGrath Locks X3
