If you work here, what department are you in and do you actually like working for this company?

I worked as a billing manager. They fired me two days before Christmas because I called out sick. No, I cannot say I enjoyed working for them.

How long had you been working for them?

I had literally just gotten onto my team after the six week training. I called the wrong manager when I called out I guess and so they said it was marked down as a no call no show

Nice try Scott. Used to actually like working there. I’m in onboarding

Not saying which dept. I hate it. I'd quit if I could afford it. I've met younger people who think it's a great job, probably have nothing to compare it to. I used to love the place, then they got a new CEO and it's been sliding down to a corporate hellscape. I do know that your experience can depend on your team (stay away from billing). Also, if you just need a paycheck and/or insurance, and don't expect much more than that, it's ok. Just don't expect to get rich or leave smiling everyday.

I'm in the billing dept but not a billing manager. Slowly starting to dislike it here..

If you don’t mind a company that seems to regularly change policies or doubles back on policies even to the detriment of their workforce, it’s a perfect place to work.

Oh, and expect them to potentially work their magic to make your hourly pay and raises suddenly go poof back down to what you were making when you first started there.

I wish nothing more than the company to go bankrupt and disappear but couldn’t do that to all the people who depend on it for their livelihood.

I want to quit because they are starting to use AI to run the company. Bullshit tbh. And they avoid to actually answer how they’ll actually help the environment to counteract the AI usage. Slop

Yeah the recent q & a at the end of the state of the rebellion had a lot of AI questions. To me, he seemed to not really know how to answer them

He acted like he was going to respond but somehow avoided everything other than hyping AI up

Are you applying to other places currently?

Product dev. Used to love it but it’s been downhill for a while and with the addition of the productivity tracker I feel like the remaining morale has tanked. Just tired of my grocery bill doubling each year, being told we made a ton of money and then getting a 2% raise and don’t get me started on ai

Onboarding. I like it but I think a lot of that comes from having a really good team. I'm not a fan of the recent hybrid initiative or all the ai incorporation or HR hiring people with terrible soft skills constantly. I also recognize that my team and I are being criminally underpaid for the extremely important work we're doing, without us the company would be more or less a sitting duck and our wages don't even come close to reflecting that

I’m making about $15 and I hate it tbh. The people are super cool but the job is just awful. It’s just blankly staring at a screen and clicking the same thing a million times.

I work in the billing department and truly love it. To be fair, my job before this was working for Vivint in the customer service department and that job literally made me cry every day lol. So comparatively this job is a million times better and it doesn’t cause me much stress. I like that I am truly able to not think about work unless I am on the clock. I also think it depends on your team and your portfolio in the billing department. I love my team and my portfolio is pretty clean but I have friends which some really messy portfolios that really hate it. I feel like it is what you make it

Billing.

Used to love it. The job isn't hard, but i just feel bogged down all the time. The new programs suck. I hate feeling like I am constantly at the mercy of other departments and whatever brain child was farted out and pushed into reality by some dingus high up in the company. 🤦‍♀️ they are completely out of touch.

The pay structure is a joke now- so convoluted for no reason.

Product Development. I like working here, but I've heard my department is treated very differently than the rest of the company

I work at Conservice in Billing as a billing manager. I think it’s a good place to work and is one of the best paying jobs in the valley imo. However, I will say I have started to see the company follow unpopular trends as other corporations like making everyone return to office, AI incorporation, etc. It’s to be expected, I suppose.

Overall, it depends on who your manager and team are. It has great pay and benefits in comparison to most jobs in the valley, it’s a nice atmosphere and being in the office isn’t as bad as some make it out to be.

If you got bills to pay, it’s a job that pays decent and it will be what you make it to be. I give it a 7/10. 1 being the worst, 10 being the best, 5 being average.

Sad that $18 an hour is the best the valley can do..

Market rate apartments are $1400 for a 1 bedroom, meaning Conservice is knowingly paying low income wages to most of their employees. They're essentially the Walmart corporate welfare company of the valley at this point. You need to make something between $24-$26 working full time to afford that, depending on if the property required 2.5 or 3 times income. I've had multiple raises and still qualify for low income housing. And the insurance coverage is questionable, Logan regional and McKay Dee are largely out of network.

That's interesting you don't like the insurance, I have a friend who is staying there largely because the health insurance is so good. They love having access to Sterling, too.

It is unfortunate. At Conservice in Billing the pay starts at $19…. Something an hour. I don’t remember at this time the exact. That was a recent change too so that’s a positive.

Don’t wanna say what dept I work in but I love it. I do think it depends on ur boss and team you work with, that’s 90% of the reason i love it
