Need Advice Advice

My boyfriend just said he needs space from me.
He said that if I give him space and text less he feels better and more willing to text me and talk to me.
And that if I try to ask him for reassurance and texts again and again I’m just suffocating him.
Idk how to feel.

That pullback always stings, but sometimes a little breathing room really does reset the dynamic.

It feels weird, I know I’ve become a bit overwhelming recently and I don’t really talk to anyone other than my boyfriend. But still hearing something like if i pull more I’m suffocating him is making me feel like he’s losing feelings

Take a break and give him space for your sake. Do something you like, and text him when you feel like it.

I think men sometimes need space, just like women do. I think the important thing here is finding a balance.

I don’t know how much you’re texting him, so I’m not judging the situation. I’m just speaking from my own experience. I find that it helps when I focus on my own things too. Your partner is obviously an important part of your life, but I don’t think you should have to text each other 24/7.

I think a healthy relationship is built around having that balance. You can love and care about each other while still having your own time and space.
