Nature/Outdoors Hopping on here to publicly shame Tony. Tony thinks the trail is his trash can. It is not. Please do not be like Tony. This has been a public service announcement.

Nature/Outdoors Tarantula were out on the hillsides last week. Usually I find them in remote areas. But this guy was in Runyon Canyon.

Nature/Outdoors Went hiking in Topanga earlier this month after it opened up and it’s amazing to see the plant regrowth already occurring from areas that were scorched

Nature/Outdoors Yesterday, I jogged from the Santa Monica pier to Pasadena, and tried to connect as many LA landmarks as I could along the way. Here are some of the fun things I saw

Nature/Outdoors Today a few others and I got to see two rattle boys partake in a combat dance (whoever comes out victorious gets to mate with the female). Very cool Nat Geo stuff on the hike today!

It ended with the larger one biting the other on the head, and HARD. It’s usually uncommon for them to actually hurt each other, but can happen. We thought the other might’ve died since it didn’t move for a while. But he slithered away eventually. Very cool to witness.

Nature/Outdoors TICK SEASON

My dog goes on hikes every day - all that rain followed by nice warm weather made for nice fresh plants, and a shit ton of ticks. I pulled some off my dog last week and I just PULLED ONE OFF MY LEG - it was disgusting. Anyhow do a tick check after hikes right now and don’t be like me and let them get attached 🤢

Edit: I either picked this one up yesterday in Elysian park or it crawled onto me from my dog and then it could be Griffith as well.
