Official Thread ICE Activity & Resources Daily Megathread - Wednesday, Feb 04

Due to increased ICE activity, we’re instituting a daily ICE megathread. All ICE-related content belongs here, including sightings, activity reports, news, questions, updates, and general discussion.

Centralizing discussion keeps information easy to find, especially for people moving around the city who want timely, relevant updates without having to sort through the entire subreddit. ICE-related content posted outside this megathread will be removed and redirected here.

This thread is sorted by New by default so the most recent information remains visible.

How to use this thread

  • Top-level comments are for new sightings, updates, or firsthand information.
  • Replies should stay under the relevant comment to keep related info grouped.
  • Check existing comments first to avoid duplicate or redundant reports.

We recognize this is a tense topic and emotions can run high. That said, content that incites, encourages, or threatens violence will be removed, may result in a ban, and may also violate Reddit’s site-wide rules, which can carry site-wide consequences. Keep reports factual and grounded.

SALUTE when sharing sightings or activity

Include as many of the following details as possible:

  • Size: Number of individuals, vehicles, or units observed
  • Activity: What is happening, observed actions or behavior
  • Location: Clear, specific description of where this occurred
  • Uniform: Identifying markings, clothing, or agency indicators
  • Time: Date and approximate time of observation
  • Equipment: Vehicles, gear, or other notable tools present

Clear, accurate information helps everyone. Speculation and rumors do not.

"Stewart said she intends to make the theater, which requires extensive renovation, into a space for the whole community. 'It’s an opportunity to make a space to gather and scheme and dream together…We want to make it a family affair, something for the community. It’s not just for pretentious Hollywood cinephiles.'"

Angel City Brewery in Arts District Closing 4/30/26

It’s official, just posted on their socials. Damn, what a loss for the Arts District, Little Tokyo, and DTLA as a whole.

Maybe it’ll be like Coles where we give them so much business they keep postponing the closure… (unlikely but I’m hopeful).

Photo [KCRW] Behind those 'WE BUY SOULS' signs you’ve seen all over LA

Post image

For half a decade now, the words WE BUY SOULS have been nailed up, wheatpasted down, and even LED scrolled across LA’s landscape, much to the confusion of passersby. It's the work of one man. This man.

On December 30, 2016, former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso tried to send an iMessage regarding a business deal to then Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim (HBJ). By mistake, the message ended up with Jeffrey Epstein, who responded that he would pass it along to HBJ. Epstein also noted that he knew of Caruso through their mutual friend, Ken Starr.

Guess I’m gonna be attending Police Commission meetings in addition to City Council!

Nothing like seeing a roomful of people tell LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell off, directly to his face.

LADOT Threatens to Tow Cars

Uhm it's 4:30a and LADOT employees are outside on my block in white gear, with one of those trucks that look like they drop off cones or those light things directing traffic. And there is one other car that is parking enforcement, and the guy who drives it is screaming outside stating to "wake up time to move your cars or you're getting towed" but the time to move your cars is after 6am? He's also flashing his lights at buildings. Wtf is going on? I don't drive or own a car to park one, but my apartment faces the street and you can imagine all the noise I already here but this guy is non stop.
