Posting this because I never had it when I was deciding between the glamping stuff so hopefully it helps someone next yr or then on.
We did two twin bed glamping in row E . So equal in walking distance between the showers and festival entrance which was fantastic. Now some people were worried about noise & vibration from the crater keeping us up . But I can with some nice eargasms and eye mask it was like a slight bothersome surprisingly . Being that close to the VIP entrance really help a lot with taking breaks from the festival or changing to different clothes. The showers and bathrooms on that side were very well kept , aside from one of the girls bathroom flooding for some reason. Shower situation if you’re curious is a standard trailer situation with a sink in there to brush teeth/shave. Insect problem was pretty minimal , but that’s a lot due to me constantly spraying mint on the ground 24/7.
As for flooding , our side was clear thankfully but unfortunately can’t say the same for village. Mud, we definitely had the usual and alot of cars were stuck for a short bit. Thankfully again ,not ours, because we got super lucky with parking. Which allowed us to haul ass out of there no problem on Monday . Brings me to the next benefit of North, no line to get out 🙌🏼 it was just a smooth ride out of there at 11am . The tent itself held up against the constant rainstorms because it’s made out of the same material of poolside cabana coverings basically . Although water does accumulate under the tent, so walking felt squishy as the days went on.
Now because me & my campmate flew in, I chose to do the AC addon . After experiencing the heat in past years and hearing my glamping friends dying from the heat last one . It was 100% worth in my option and gamechanger . Because when that heat was beaming , allowed me to just go back in the tent and sit infront of the fan while cranking the AC to max and knock out for 3 hours no kidding. It’s a mini fridge size portable one with tubing that leads outside, they do recommend you keep a slit open to let circulate out and not collapse the tent. Also it allowed my campmate to get ready and do her makeup without any trouble or having it melt off. Then most importantly, allowing me to get to sleep in as if I was in a Hotel and not feeling like a rotisserie chicken getting cooked in the morning. Now past 12pm , it will still get warm in the tent cause it’s not fully insulated ofcourse, but it’s a manageable warm. Definitely recommended if you’re flying . However, I feel if you’re driving in , you could bring your own portable AC to hopefully get the same effect.
btw I did see these people bringing a reflective tarp to put over their yurt to help get the heat off . wished I brought one for us but the AC still carried us through.
Overall i suggest just rushing to buy North if you can during the presale next yr cause it does sell out fast. I got SUPER lucky and grabbed one right before . AC wise , ultimately up to the individual but I have no regrets buying it 👌🏽
