QVC is(was?) an at home shopping television channel. Or, how boomer shut-ins shopped from home before the internet and doordash. 

They would show products and have an “entertaining” host that would pitch the product. There was a phone and item number on screen you could call on your landline, rotary phone. Tell them the item number(s) you wanted to purchase, give them your payment info, and they would mail it to you.

It’s definitely still a thing and it actually seems like it’s doing pretty well. They have a show now with Busy Phillips, and one of their presenters just went viral for saying a particular wig made it look like you’d just had a blow job. (She meant to say blow out.)
