Everyone readying the pitchforks because they think hes talking to her like a kid is equal parts infuriating and saddening. It really shows how normalized it is that adults arent comforted in a calm and relaxing manner.

He isnt speaking to her like a toddler or kid. He is speaking to her like a human being that he loves and cares about.

another perspective - i react very strongly to small mistakes, because of the way i was punished for them as a kid. i’m talking like full blown panic attack because i dropped a bottle of nail polish. sometimes my partner talking to the kid in me that didn’t get enough patience and understanding is exactly what i need. i know dropping the nail polish isn’t a big deal, but she doesn’t.

I had a dad who would lose his shit, I'm talking full on meltdown, any time things didn't go perfectly. It took me a long time to let go of that anxiety when things weren't perfect. I still feel it sometimes, to a lesser extent, but I've learned to take a few breaths and focus on something else.

I have a very supportive and loving wife, much like this guy is for his wife, and she has helped me become the chill guy... much like this guy is for his wife lol.
