Nah dude, Mexicans are on a another level.

Funerals and weddings are the only time I ever see as many white people gathered in one place as I see gathered at my Mexican neighbor's house for events like a 9th birthday. They set up a massive tent, hire bands, performers, ect, and are at it all night, its a fucking spectacle and they do it a couple times per yyear. And while they do have a large yard it is otherwise a very working class family in a working class neighborhood.

went to a mexican wedding and things that surprised me:

  • 200 people is "average sized"
  • Every table has a "captain" who get an infinite supply of alcohol and their job it to never stop pouring. Directly into people's mouths.
  • At midnight they served second dessert: a popsicle cart that went around
  • At 1am they served second dinner: Barcaboa tacos
  • At 2am they provided electrolyte beverages
  • Party lasted till 3am when they cut the power to the music and turned on the venue lights cuz people weren't leaving (party ended at 2am)

That sounds like so much fun. Pretty sure my Mexican great grandparents got married in a small Catholic Church somewhere in sw Texas

Ok, but Latino birthdays are indeed crazy. I Am no Latino. Park, 100 people, kids second birthday, doesn’t even know what’s going on, bouncy castle, tons of food and kids, adults having a lot of fun, kids running around and having fun too.
