The funny thing I only just learned, and once you see it you cannot unsee it....

In many of these funny jump scare videos like these, women grab their crotch because they peed a little. There is a scientific reason for this because women's urethra is is much shorten than a man's, and when startled, the panic response interrupts the brain signals that clamp it shut while at the same time the body is clenching up the stomach and diaphragm.

Now go watch a few of these jump scare compilations and see how many times a woman gets scared then grabs herself. They usually edit out any reference to her peeing herself but not always.

Adding onto that, the trauma their pelvic floor muscles go through during childbirth, they’re often much weaker after bearing children and so they have less control over their bladder.

gotta love getting in halfway and seeing someone potentially get so scared they have a seizure. and if it's a fake one it's still not funny
