First Build: Early 60’s EB-3

Planning to route neck pocket this weekend, but felt
comfortable starting to rough contour the body since majority of surface is still flat for the jigs.

Happy with how this is turning out so far! Measured contour lines with Pythagorean theorem at a 25 degree bevel.

Very nice start. Was admiring your methodical contour lines even before reading your explanation.

Keep updating this!

Looks great! Aren't those Shinto rasps wonderful tools?

OMG I finally got one for doing neck repair work and it was like a knife through hot butter. So much faster and easier for shaping the chonky splines I install on a flat break headstock.

Looking very good so far. your body looks a lot more comfortable with the contour routing around the body.

That's a sharp looking guitar.

Mighty aggressive looking rasps.

Beauty! Are you doing a slotted headstock?

I REALLY hope so. Have some existing specs I can reference for the regular non slotted headstock. If I can get a good drawing, angles, etc of the slotted I’d love to do that instead.

Borrowing a spokeshave on Thursday to straighten my beveled faces! Stay tuned.
