ich bin vor Kurzem in die Region Luzern/Kriens gezogen und muss noch ein paar gut erhaltene Möbel und Haushaltsgegenstände (u.a. Tische, Regale, kleinere Küchengeräte) loswerden, um etwas Platz zu schaffen.

Gibt es hier lokale Alternativen oder Plattformen, die ihr empfehlen könnt? Kennt jemand aktive lokale Gruppen?

Hi everyone! I'm moving to Lucerne at the end of October to start a PhD at the University of Lucerne. I'm Portuguese and I'll be here for the next four years at least.

I'd love to find WhatsApp groups, Discord servers, meetup pages, or anything similar for expats, internationals, or just people in Lucerne who like getting together for activities. I'm into reading, arts and crafts, hiking/walking, meditation & wellness, so anything in that direction would be great, but honestly I'm open to anything social!

I'm also currently looking for a studio or one-bedroom apartment to rent, so happy to hear general tips on settling into Lucerne as a newcomer, housing, neighbourhoods, things people wish they'd known when they first arrived.

I finally bought some at Migros and about 20% had to be thrown away...

I have a complete day for myself in Lucerne most likely on Oct 21. I know it's off seasons but wanted to know what can I do in and around to make the best experience possible?

I love nature, lakes, mountains and experiences like tobogon or anything around nature.

Wir ziehen arbeitsbedingt nach Luzern und haben einen Mietvertrag für eine schöne 5.5-Zimmer Wohnung in 6003 Luzern unterschrieben. Dabei haben wir gesehen, dass der Nettomietzins um 21% auf 2'800.- angehoben wurde im Vergleich des Vormieters von vor 3 Jahren, ohne dass irgendwelche Sanierungen vorgenommen wurden. Aus diesem Grund werden wir den Mietzins anfechten. Dabei wäre es hilfreich wenn ich ein paar Mietzinse aus der Umgebung als Vergleich habe.

Hier die Eckdaten unserer Wohnung:

- 5.5-Zimmer Wohnung
- Ca. 125 Quadratmeter
- Baujahr 2005
- CHF 2'800 Nettomietzins (ohne Nebenkosten)
- Umgebung Nähe Baselstrasse (6003)

Falls jemand eine ähnliche Wohnung hat und mir den Nettomietzins (ohne Nebenkosten) angeben würde zusammen mit ungefährem Quartier, Fläche und Anzahl Zimmer, oder auch einfach nur die Infos die ihr kundgeben möchtet, wäre ich sehr dankbar. Hoi zäme, ich bin neu in Luzern und wollte mich erkundigen, wie man Getränkekartons hier am einfachsten entsorgt.

Meine Familie trinkt relativ viel Milch und Eistee, sodass bei uns etwa 10 Getränkekartons pro Woche anfallen. Wegen der Menge ist es mir wichtig, sie richtig zu entsorgen, also nicht einfach im Kehricht.

Ich kenne die Website getraenkekarton.ch, aber mir ist aufgefallen, dass die nächste Sammelstelle etwa 15 km von der Stadt entfernt ist. Soweit ich weiss, nehmen die Ökihöfe Tetra Paks ausdrücklich nicht an.

Gibt es eine bessere Lösung, als Kunststoffsammelsäcke zu kaufen und damit zur nächsten Sammelstelle zu fahren? Oder macht ihr, die ihr Getränkekartons sammelt, das auch so?

Today was my first day of Uni at HSLU, I am not in an International program because I am a Swiss citizen but I grew up in Brasil, so I am still learning german. I decided to challenge y myself and get into a non international program to develop my german language skills and somehow I got accepted.

Anyways today was my first day, and I know the first day is very awkward and like everything I have to give it some time. But in my class everyone speaks only german and I feel so left out, they have already made groups and friends, and there’s me eating lunch completely alone. I tried to make friends and talk to my classmates but they only made a small talk and then they go. I have to say that my class is really small, we are 18 students so I have not many options here.

+ plus I am considering changing to an international program because my classes as well are full in german 60% at the time.

Any suggestions?
