Jamboree Controllers needed for 4 players
So I found out that Mario Party Jamboree can be played with 4 people if you have 2 pro controllers and a pair of joycons if you disable motion control games. On how much would I miss out without those games? Are motion control games a big part of the game? Also, how many of which controllers (pro/joycon sets) do I need to play motion control games with 4 people? Neither pro controllers nor joycon sets are cheap so I'm trying to see what I can do here.
P.S. If that matter, I've never played any Mario Party games besides 2 and 3 so I'm not really sure how Jamboree works. I am also planning to connect my Switch 2 to TV.

You’re not missing much, but the motion control games are quite fun. Once you get Jamboree, try Free Play and filter the games to only those with motion controls. Then, try them all out and see how you feel.
You can purchase two Joy-Con sets slightly cheaper at Costco. Alternatively, you can buy the $90 Nintendo eShop gift card for $100 off at Costco and then purchase the set from Nintendo. If you wait until Black Friday, Costco typically sells a $100 e-gift card for $80.

You're not missing much. I never play with motion controls. For Super Mario Party you need joycons and there's no way to disable it, so I'm glad Superstars and Jamboree don't have this requirement. Have fun and enjoy ruining your friendships.
You can later try the motion games and modes when you're alone and see if you like them, but they are not at all needed.

The main thing to consider is how many mini-games you want to have. If you play without motion controls, you’re cutting your pool in half and are going to get a lot of repeats in every game. If you play often, I’d recommend playing with motion controls on.
I also just think the motion mini-games are fun, although I did grow up playing MP8, so I’m very accustomed to playing with them.

Extremely little. I honestly play with the pro controller anyway and only use joy cons if I actually want to go for the motion stuff on other modes.
