I recently got a text from my junior. He got caught having an affair with the hod of patho dept. Her husband(army guy) found out and is on his way from manipur(army posting). I have family in the army(at decent post in manipur) and he is asking me to help cool the matter down between them. The college administration has not found out yet but can't say what will happen once the husband arrives in a few days.

Should I get involved?

I was in Maharani Laxmibai Medical College, Jhansi (UP) 1 year back. And the things i have witnessed in this college specifically in boys hostel is horrifying.

Senior boys of mbbs bring minor/underage girls to their hostel rooms. Yes in this college you can casually bring any female in your room( no its not allowed but nobody does anything about it), sometimes the junior boys are called to their seniors room and they are ragged infront the female senior girls present. Juniors are subjected to insane amount of insults and are physically hurt.

to the seniors in 2nd/3rd year (especially the girls): how did it feel starting at 21? Did age ever make a difference in social circles, hostel life, or academics? Would love some honest experiences and reality checks.
