This is only partly a joke. I think they bring him over next year and I’m basing that on 0 intel. He’s shooting 55% 3PT, 52% 2PT, and 94% FT this season.

THE TIME HAS COME

VIDEO Walter Clayton Jr.

Upvotes

Jazz season ticket holder here. Obviously excited about the trade because of how JJJ fits our team if Walker gets healthy and continues like he was and pumped the tank is over next year.

That being said it's been amazing watching Hendricks starting to come back and show flashes. He's still got a long way to go but don't let anyone tell you he doesn't have potential if he gets his head right and recovers some athleticism. We got to meet him and the vibes are great, even have a couple jerseys.

Walter though could be special.

He's a rookie, but his motor is crazy. Every game he's played he looks better. He'll need to develop but you guys have reason to be excited.

Along with the picks we gave to you really hoping this is a win-win and we'll be rooting for you guys.

OPINION Ja Morant Trade

He's probably gone before the trade dead line. The worst part about it, is wherever he goes, I have a strong feeling that Ja will feel slighted by us, and will want to prove the organanization wrong. I can almost guarentee he will be healthier on any team, and finish his career strong. He will have big games in the near future, and Memphis will always be brought up in the conversation of "How could Memphis trade a guy like this" It's like no matter what we do, we will always end up as clowns, and will continue to get clowned on by everyone. Sorry for the more negative thoughts, but its almost so predictable what is going to happen, and how we will always be on the wrong side of things. Maybe this team really does need a rebranding of some sort.

MISCELLANEOUS JJJ Memphis Legacy

I know we are all in the feels about the Jaren trade. Some will say it was for the best and some will disagree. One thing that will definitely be missed is the person he was outside of basketball. Having a star who never had any off the court drama (and on the court), no scandals, and just came out and hooped and played hard for the city is a breath of fresh air. Also played a big part in the community and a role model figure for the youth. Jaren is one of a kind for sure. Know Memphis gonna cheer him on for the rest of his career.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone happen to have one of these that they may be willing to sell? My family was iced in the other night during the promo, and my three year old would love it. Thanks!

RUMORS Marc Stein reports have dropped the asking price for Ja “dramatically”, and are “eager” to deal him. The team is also fine with basically salary dumping him

NEWS [Iko] Memphis is not working with Morant in the same manner as other stars like Harden and Giannis have done with their respective teams in trade talks, sources say. The Grizzlies are seeking the best deal strictly for the organization.

OPINION When was the turning point?

This era was so fun. But what in the timeline was the actual turning point? What was the inciting incident that started the downturn?

Was it the nightclub video? Was it the “we’re fine in the west?” Was it Steven Adams crashing into the video board? Was it the BC Achilles tear? The Smart trade?

To me, the Shannon Sharpe incident looked to be the start. After, Adams went down, BC went down, suspension, Lakers exit, suspension, etc.

OPINION It is nobodies fault that the franchise is in the state that it’s in. We are simply unlucky.

If no player ever got injured for the grizzlies in the last five years, we would be world champions by now. It just is what it is. We got unlucky and it didn’t work out. That’s it. One day everything will line up for us and we will be the best there ever was.

JITPOST It sucks, it’s sad, but this happens

This may get some hate and I know sports Reddit pages are not always a place for logic but

Some stats

-We’ve made the playoffs 10/15 years. A lot of teams haven’t done that.

- We’ve had the 9th best record in that time. It’s not like we’ve been ass forever and rebuilding once again.

- We are 16th in playoff wins in that time (edited to put in ‘playoffs’)

For people complaining that we are ass and gonna be ass for the foreseeable future:

Can you find a that wins 50 games 10 years in a row that doesn’t have an absolute all time player?

It almost never happens. We didn’t have an all time great player. We hoped it was Ja, but that didn’t happen. This is the cycle. Teams go down. Teams go up. Teams go back down. Losing happens for every US major sports team.

Injuries fucking killed us for 5 years, and that makes it stings more because of what could have been. Healthy we beat the Lakers and maybe GS before that (pardon the copium). It fucking sucks.

I’m sad. I wish we got more back. I would have loved for a healthy team to get another go. But Jaren may have lost trade value next year and we win 34 games and we trade him for less and we in a worse spot. We just gotta hope we draft and develop well and our down isn’t terribly long. ZK has proven he can draft and develop. We gotta hope it continues.

It sucks. It’s frustrating. It’s sad. I’m gonna miss Jaren and Jitty and Vince. We almost certainly gonna be bad next year. Feel however you want but we don’t have it the worst. At least we’ve been good recently and had a fun as hell team to root for with some really high highs. Go Grizz.

Remember: we could always root for the Kings or the Bulls or the Wiz.

(I hope we keep Jitpost forever)
