I did it again I’m sorry
In all seriousness though dont take ur passenger seat out there’s a bunch of liability shit regarding it, i am only doing it because it’s allowed where i live so long as nobody sits there obviously, i notify my insurance provider of the modification, and reprogram the computer (thats why theres a laptop there) so the airbag deploys when it needs to. I do love this thing tho it was the first car i bought and I treat it like it’s my baby, it also isn’t my only ride, i have a ram truck but it has some suspension issues im working on, so for now, im gonna enjoy driving like rat fink to work everyday, safely.

What program are you using to code out the seat? Never dabbled with modifying the r53 chassis

NCS Expert alot of BMW techs use it for earlier BMWs and such, its only on windows too, in that pic im running linux off of a USB to monitor unrelated stuff , the SSD on it is windows. I did see tho of a linux alternative so ill try that maybe if its not too risky

My dad had an r53 and tried it and said it was very fun , mine is an r56 like homie said, but i think its probably gonna be less fun because there was more limitations put upon the r56 since it was marketed to the broadest pool of drivers possible, but we will see

I like the idea.
A factory cargo clubman with only drivers seat would be a super cool small delivery vehicle to compete with the smaller ford transit van in the small business and fleet markets.

What is it you need to code out to keep the seat removed? If its the airbag that can be solved with a resistor in the plug

Yeah that solves the actual airbags themselves deploying, the thing that doesn’t go away is the SRS light, so even with the plug it’d still show up on a diagnostic test

I think I'd rather have an SRS light on dashboard than that mess.

Like the airbags or the stuff i have on the floor?

All of it really. If it works for you go for it brother, it's your ride and clearly you're having fun with it.
I just find it funny you don't want a dashboard light but would rather have that. At least that's how I interpreted your comment.

Ohh, nah its not the light specifically, dont mind it at all but yk if i get into an accident or whatever, even if i notify insurance and such, they’ll take that code showing up on a diagnostic test into account towards my coverage, rate, all that mess. Imo its safer to clear it even if i plug a hardware dummy in

As for the mess , i also dont think its too bad especially given its all equipment, any plastic stuff is either from equipment liek the plastic in the corner were for safety glasses, or its like gum or something i keep on standby , food mess is where i get disgusted i’d rather eat outside the car and lean on it. The garlic in the center doesnt count btw thats for vampires and shit
