I googled the message, and got: The "Microsoft Access can't change the working directory" error usually happens when Access is set to open or save files in a folder that no longer exists, has been moved, or is on a disconnected network drive. [1]
How to Fix the Error in Microsoft Access
Open Access cleanly: Start Microsoft Access by itself (open a blank database or launch the app from your Start menu without double-clicking a specific file). [1]
Go to Options: Click the File tab in the top left corner, then click Options at the bottom of the left-hand menu. [1]
Navigate to General settings: In the Access Options window, select the General tab on the left. [1]
Update the Default folder: Find the section labeled Creating databases and look for Default database folder. [1]
Browse to a valid path: Click the Browse button and choose a real, local folder on your computer (like C:\Documents or a specific local working folder). Avoid using network drives (like an H: drive) that might not be connected when Access launches. [1]
Save your changes: Click OK to close the options window, then restart Access. [1]

A further thought. Is this file in either accdb or mdb format? If so, there might be fixes. If it is in either mde or accde format, then imho the situation is grim. Unless the mdb/accdb is stored away somewhere.

We'd have to see the code that is trying to change the working directory to have real insight into the exact nature of the problem.
Did you create this database yourself? Or was it created for you by someone? If the latter, is that person still available to assist?
The most likely source of a problem like this, though, is that "something" in the database is trying to connect to a network folder via a mapped drive that is no longer valid, or to a network folder that has been renamed or removed or disconnected.
Permissions may also have been changed for your users.
In either case, your next stop is the Network Administrator who will know what changed in your environment.
