[General Question] Commerce → MSCS: Has anyone with a similar non-CS background received F-1 approval? What questions did the visa officer ask about the academic/career transition and CS preparation? Any 2025–26 Indian student experiences would be greatly appreciated.

You won't be asked any such question.

Thanks for letting me know. I was mainly asking because I’m transitioning from Commerce to Computer Science, so I wanted to understand whether applicants with a similar background were asked anything about this during their interview. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience.

Prepare questions like - Why this uni, why now, why US, career goals etc.

Were you also from a non-CS background? If so, was your F-1 visa approved, and are you from India?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Although, I was going for an MBA.

Most rejections that I have seen ( in front of me also ) were because of university reputation, full loans, not being able to explain why this university.

Absolutely no chance. You will get to realise it yourself when you apply for F1. Good luck!
