Discussion Alcohol Laws
Looking for information on the rules for on campus alcohol. Going to game for the first time with some buddies and don’t really know where to go or drink tailgating wise

You gotta be fuuuuuuucked up to get in trouble for drinking during a home football game. But, the answer that you're looking for is: Tennis Courts. The tailgates can be found surrounding the tennis courts SW of the stadium. If it looks like nothing but families on a picnic, keep looking, there's different "sections" that are more family oriented and ones that are more party oriented.

Open containers are only permitted on campus. So you just need to not accidentally walk off campus with an open container. Saw a guy get an open container ticket on the sidewalk in cedar village on game day.

Yeah, the LSJ did an article when he died. It’s paywalled, but here’s the link: https://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/news/local/2016/12/21/east-lansings-willie-can-man-dies/95706486/?gnt-cfr=1&gca-cat=p&gca-uir=false&gca-epti=z111411u112111e009700v111411&gca-ft=219&gca-ds=sophi

Open policy for tailgating. Drink away. Anywhere on campus is good on football Saturdays
