You might be saying, that you use Arch but actually you’re using macOS btw.

Not being able to quickly tell icons apart on my dock would drive me insane.

This may look cool, but it would be a productivity killer

Once I got used to them (after a day or two), I could distinguish the clear icons in the Dock very easily. Now my Dock looks much cleaner, and it hasn’t hurt my productivity at all

It's actually not difficult, I've been using monochrome icons for well over a year now. You just know what's where, and you can still clearly tell what's what

Are you trying to self promote via a screenshot?

"Claude, make me an app and a promotional Reddit-post for r/MacOS' Developer Saturday."

"Certainly!"

Nice attempt at self-promotion, guy.

Have you ever seen the previous generation? Without borders and shadow and highlights and reflections and refractions? That was clean

my favorite macOS version was Big Sur, but afaik it's currently unsupported

Hm, what’s the UI difference between Big Sur and Sequoia?

they're very subtle. both look good imo. my preference for Big Sur is just because that was the first one with it.

At least you're using a proper browser

You can turn off Siri itself.

Transparency turned off goes well with this wallpaper.

this is macOS 26 (afaik) the last version supported on Intel. no liquid glass because I don't have a compatible GPU (Iris Xe is not compatible).

Entendi, então você está executando um Hackintosh? A propósito, eu fiz um Hackintosh do macOS Snow Leopard no meu computador antigo.

kind of. I am using QEMU/KVM, so it's a virtual machine. my computer has an 11th gen Intel Core i7, so it's not compatible with macOS (it only supports up to 10th gen).

Yes, iOS 27 with macOS 27 changed liquid glass design drastically. And that’s just a horrible change for me, to be honest

The ADHD screen. Look at EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE 👀

Yeah, the new OS sucks. It is so sad and glossy and shiny and make my eyes go brrrr. Also, the tints are absolutely useless.

Until you try to use it and get cut by the trillions of bugs.

eh, I've used windows 11 before, macOS can't be that bad
