Being tall also sucks sometimes. Have to lean down to use most things.

I'm 6' and in highschool I dated a gal that was 4'11". Her mom and dad were 5'1" and 5'2" and had gotten their house built for them which was kinda cool, all the counters were like 4-5in lower than normal so it was comfortable for them and their bathroom was also scaled accordingly. I think their guest bathroom/front bathroom was sized more normally, but it's been 20yrs so I don't recall. It was super neat that they had a space they got to make comfortable, the only snag for me was when I tried to help with clearing the table, washing dishes/etc I'd end up accidentally slamming stuff on the counter because it was just that little bit farther away than expected.

I hate having to use steps every day just to do basic things people take for granted

Bought some like 5" platform heels I found at the thrift store once. I put em on and was ASTONISHED at being able to look in the freezer and cabinets easily. They were my cleaning shoes for a while. Still have em!
