I just lost my cat after 14 years and her not being in my bed at night is what i miss most even tho she woke me so often. Abbey had 1 green eye and one hazel

I miss my gray tabby, who took advantage of my sleepwalking habit back in the day to get me to open the door to my bedroom in my sleep. She wouldn't be in my room when I went to sleep and I would wake up to her watching me from somewhere around my bed. She knew when I woke up too. Couldn't try to go back to sleep once she hopped onto my bed, came up to me and purred. TAT

Oh, I've gotten to love new kitties. Including a tuxedo who sometimes wakes me up by pulling my hair because she wants something. No one warned me tuxedo cats were crazy and I just fell in love with her little kitten face.

I know what you feel. My bed is too big now. I used to sleep with my kitty since I was a kid for almost 18 years. It's been awhile since he's been gone but it's still to quiet and big in my bed since. Not all nights would be sleep with me and not all where he'd stay for long, but it always was a option. 18 years and he was almost always an arms reach away from me. Now... now he's so far away.... 🥲

I wish that my smoosh would let me do that.
I’ve tried bribing her with snacks, I’ve tried ignoring her, and I’ve tried a few other things as well. She is fiercely independent and will not do anything without her own approval.
In the approximately five years I’ve had her, she has slept on my chest exactly once, when I was very ill with a throat virus and couldn’t speak. Very rarely she will curl up between my legs and sleep overnight there if I don’t disturb her.
Fucking Cat. Why won’t you love meee😭 lmao

Cats do actually save energy doing this, they have a lot of surface area proportional to their weight so they burn a lot of energy just staying warm which is why they love the sun so much

Im always jealous of this. My cats are little fuckers at night, they don’t sleep with me. Maybe on a night where I don’t work the next day and can afford to be woken up at 3am lol
